OFF-ROAD ROUTE
This route is for skilled riders with good fitness. Most of the riding will take place on 4x4 tracks
combined with singles. During the route there will be possibilities for splitting tracks and additions
of technical riding sections together with the Enduro riders. It is recommended that all riders use
elbow and knee protectors. Total distance riding is about 240 km / 150 miles over the 5 days,
including the final day’s incomparably moving arrival at ALYN Hospital in Jerusalem.
DAY 1 – OFF-ROAD ROUTE

We will start from Lavi Forest and ride to the south through Hashomer Farm and Beit Keshet Forest;
continuing to ride at the foot of the Tavor Mountain and along the route of Tavor Wadi.
We will turn east through Ein Dor and begin to climb towards Menahemiah forest. After reaching the peak,
we will begin to descend in front of the views of the Sea of Galilee and reach to Ohalo, where we'll stay for
the week.
DAY 2 – OFF-ROAD ROUTE

We will begin with a steep climb to Ein Poria and continue to climb towards the Swiss Forest, where we will
ride a single in the forest. We will then enter to Tiberias for a short ride inside the city and from there we will
continue to another steep climb to Arbel Mountain. We will cross the watershed in Arbel and Yavni'el Wadies,
and from there we will descend on a steep descent and cross the Yavni'el Valley to the direction of the Sea
of Galilee.
DAY 3 – OFF-ROAD ROUTE

Haruv - Mevo Hama - Ein Taufik – Kinneret Trail

The days begins going south along the Jordan River; passing through the groves of Kibbutz Degania and
Beit Zerach. Then it’s east through Massada to Tel Katzir and we’ll surround Tel Katzir from the east at the
foot of the Golan Heights. From there we will continue north at the foot of the Golan Heights until we begin
a steep climb to Susita. We will continue as far as Kfar Haruv and then ride south along the cliff and the
Golan Heights views to Mevo Hama.
From there we will start to ride down through Ein Taufik towards the Sea of Galilee and continue riding
along the Kinneret Trail back to Ohalo.
DAY 4 – OFF-ROAD ROUTE

Points of interest: Route along the Jordan River - Degania Dam - Naharayim - Gesher – Tavor Wadi –
Issachar Wadi - Basalt Canyon - Fish Pools - Ein Hanatziv

Ramada Hotel, Jerusalem - Overnight
We will begin to ride south along the Jordan River through the Degania Dam. We will continue to ride,
passing through Naharayim, Gesher and the old railway line. From there we will cross the Tavor stream
and then cross the Issachar stream. Towards the end of the fourth day we will pass through the Basalt
Canyon and through the fish ponds of the area until we'll reach the end of the fourth day and be hosted by
Ein HaNatziv Kibbutz for a mini-celebration and refreshments. From there we will get onto buses for a short
2 hour drive to the Jerusalem area towards the fifth exciting day.
DAY 5 – OFF-ROAD ROUTE

Our last day takes us west through the communities of the Gezer Regional Council. Next to Highway 6 we
will start to ride back south-east towards Beit Shemesh where we start a steep climb towards Nes Harim
and a lunch break at Bar-BaHar. From there we will continue to ride towards the Kerem junction to meet
with the other routes and ride together as one family into ALYN Hospital.
