SCOTTY OWENS
by: Andrew Mack
LEAETTE’S INTERVIEW
By: Kyra Deming
I interviewed Scotty Owens, one of the Lockwood Lions football coaches. He did not apply for the job as the
Lockwood football coach. Coach Nielsen asked him if
he wanted to help, and he said yes. His coaching style
is being “Laid back.” He has a funny antidote about
coach Nielsen. He said, “Coach Nielsen does not have
a degree in doctors.” I asked him how he feels about
Colin Kaepernick kneeling down during the pledge.
He said, “He is a professional athlete trying to get his
point across, and it’s his constitutional right to do that.”
Scotty played football, basketball, and track and field in
high school and his high school senior quote was “No
rain, no rainbows.”
Service oriented tasks, volunteering, swimming, and
riding training are just some of Leaette’s favorite hobbies. She has been driving the Coca-Cola truck for almost two years, and she delivers Coca-Cola to Lockwood Schools. October 14th will be her two-year
anniversary. She thinks that this will be a temporary job
until she can do what she really wants to do. She wants
to work her way up in office at Coca-Cola. She had a
ton of inspiration behind getting this job. First off, her
entire family are “truckers” as she called them, and of
course she is a fan of Coca-Cola. She loves the brand
of Coca-Cola, but she believes that her truck could use
some improvement. She has never really stuck with
one truck. She has switched trucks mainly because they
