We are hardworking,
determined and fun!
Read on to find out
what we have been
doing this term.
Our topic this term has been
‘Blue Abyss’. We have
learned all about the oceans
of the world and the plants
and creatures that live in
them. We created poems
and adventure stories about
life on and under the sea.
We studied the artwork of
Vincent Scarpace and created
our own beautiful fish designs.
We also worked together to
create huge sea scapes inspired
by J.M.W. Turner. We discussed
our ideas with our groups.
Then we created our own
coloured paper using
watercolour paints. We cut the
paper into squares and
created our sea scapes using a
mosaic effect.
It was an exciting challenge—
we love to be creative!
Our Term 2 topic is called Misty Mountain Sierra . We will
be learning about the yeti, different mountain ranges and
climates. We will also be learning how to weave and work
with clay. We can’t wait!
