together John 10:121 2.
Questions:
●
What does it mean when Jesus says “I am the door?” What connotation might that have for people in our world? What connotation does that have for you? What might you say to someone who understands Christianity to be about restrictive boundaries, fences, or gates? ●
What’s the difference between experiencing God’s kingdom and entering it? Why is that difference important? How might we help people both experience and enter God’s kingdom? ●
We’re called to tune our ears to listen to and follow Jesus as the Good Shepherd. What other voice(s) are you prone to listen to and follow instead? How does that work itself out in your daytoday life? What would it look like to listen to and follow Jesus’ voice instead? ●
It’s impossible to overestimate how good Jesus’ intentions are for his people. But it is possible to overrealize or underrealize that. What does it look like to overrealize that? What does it look like to underrealize that? Which one are you more prone to? ●
Practically, what it look like to experience the abundant life Jesus came to give? Where have you tasted this? How can this community help one another to taste this? ●
(
see below about prayer and remember to pray for specific individuals in your life to put their faith in Jesus during the By Name Initiative this Lent
) [Break into smaller groups for prayer. During Lent, we share in something called the By Name Initiative (
bynameinitiative.com
) As you pray together during these weeks, make sure to include time to pray for those you’ve committed to pray for individually. Pray for God to open up opportunities for you to connect with these men and women who don’t know Jesus. Pray God would work powerfully in their hearts. Pray that you’d have the opportunity to share about the work Jesus has done in your own life.]
