St. A’s Website- Parent’s Frequently Asked Questions: Debbie Larasaenz is our new Parent
Advisor. She will be in contact with room parents and help create a list of our most asked
questions, to be posted on our website. Questions are to be emailed to Debbie at:
[email protected].
Panther Press and Website: Look into changing the name back to the Family Envelope. Also,
contact the AV club to help with tutorials on how to use the website.
Spirit Wear Update: Shortly, will be rolling out the new line of Spirit Wear, including:
sweatshirts, hoodies, hats, athletic bags, polo shirts and jackets. The flyer should be out right
before Thanksgiving, with delivery, in plenty of time for Christmas. You can order via a paper
form or online. There will be only 2-3 times a year that you can order Spirit wear. There needs
to be at least 300 hundred items ordered, to run production. Look into putting an ad or flyer into
the church bulletin . As a reminder, Spirit wear is for Friday’s only, as well as events.
Coffee Klatch: Look into having a morning coffee klatch with Mr. Muir 1-2 times per year.

First Vice President- Bill Lange (Dean of Chairs)
Parking Lot Safety : We have started to put out cones, trying to end drop offs on Stanmoor.
Students are NOT allowed to come into school by themselves from Stanmoor. Mr. Muir will be
sending out a memo instructing all parents proper drop off procedure. Cones will continue to be
placed in the cross walks.

Second Vice President Tracy Kane- Julie Zaller (Social and Membership)
Middle School Open House: Discussion about making changes to Back to School Night to
allow parents in the middle school to hear brief presentations from each of their child(ren)’s
teachers.
Parent Teacher Conferences: The school is investigating ways to revise the parent teacher
conference process. Length of conferences and an inability to meet with all of their children’s
teachers were concerns that have been raised. The administration and faculty will address these
concerns in planning for conferences next year.
Email Etiquette: As a reminder, please respond to emails, within a 24 hour window.

Third Vice President- Marcella Fernandez and Patty Wiacek (Ways and Means)
Innisbrook: Sold around $30,000. worth of items, substantially down from last year.
New Fundraising Ideas: Look into rotating Innisbrook with other fundraisers. Look into a Joga -thon for next year. We are going to table this till next month. Please ask friends from other
schools what their top fundraisers are and bring 1 back to the December meeting.
Golf Tournament: We made a lot of revenue this year but are waiting on the final numbers. We
had over 32 sponsorships!!
Gift gathering parties: Look into incorporating themes to the parties. IE: camping. Everyone
would procure items that would relate to the outdoors and camping.
Fundraising book: This would be a year round list of events and parties that our families can
participate in and make money for the school. IE: clambake, crawfish fest, martini madness,
etc.
Craft fair: Look into holding a fair at the school, where we would rent out spots to different
vendors. (Jewelry, candles, bags, etc.) Julie Z said she would head up the committee.
Christmas Program and Musical: Look into selling refreshments and raffles at these events.

Fourth Vice President- Zoe Bathie-Livingstone (Stewardship)
Thanksgiving Mass: Thanksgiving Mass will be Tuesday, November 25. We are asking for
frozen turkey’s and chickens to be dropped off that morning. Gift cards to Ralphs or Vons will
be generously accepted, to purchase these items too.
Giving boxes: Giving boxes are due Friday, December 5. Zoe will be printing out an
instruction flyer that will be given to each student.
Adopt a Family: This project is under way. We just got our families from St. Margaret's and
Nicole will be contacting everyone who signed up, within 24 hours.

Administrative Report- Mr. Muir, Principal
Athletic Program: We are just finishing up with Fall sports and have moved on to basketball.
We have had a lot of interest, so there should be many boy and girl teams.
Junior High Electives: We had our mock trial team’s at the LA County Courthouse and our
defense team got an acquittal! The kids learned a lot and really did well!
Social/Emotional Learning Program: Our first program had an excellent turn out, with over 50
parents attending. Our team meets about once a month, planning future events.
Service Leadership Team: This is going well. Mrs. Kellegan and Ms. Scaltrito are the
moderators to these 5th and 6th graders, focusing on increasing leadership opportunities.
School Tours: We are doing extremely well filling up tours, following our Open House. I have
at least 4-5 tours each Tuesday.
Middle School: Ms. Carter is our point person for Meeting the Needs of All Learners in the
upper grades. Mrs. Hudecek is teaching Language Arts to the 6th graders, 2 days a week.
Homework Club: Homework club is an after school club, in which students can complete their
homework with the help and supervision of two of our teachers, Mrs. Hage and Ms. Woodley.
The cost is $10 for drop-in, $30 per week, or $100 per month. The club runs from 3:00pm to
4:00 Monday through Thursday.
