Salute Battery Notice May 2-3
 Patch Barracks, between 10-10:30 a.m.
 A EUCOM special event rehearsal and ceremony is scheduled to take place with multiple rounds fired on both
dates.
Patch Fitness Center Closed May 3
 Patch Barracks Fitness Center, from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. to support a EUCOM special event.
 The Physical Therapy and Wellness Center will remain open and patients can use side door for access to
the office from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
 Fitness Center patrons may notice added security personnel checking the area of the evening of May 2.
Robinson Barracks Pedestrian Gate In-Service
• Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) and Directorate of Public Works (DPW) confirmed the pedestrian
gate reopened for use, April 8.
• If you notice an issue with any gate, immediately report it to the MP Desk at 0711-680-5262.
Swabian Special Events Center closed for lunch, dinner
 The Swabian Special Events Center closed for lunch and dinner service, Apr.1. Effective May 2, a new menu
will be available at the Patch Community Club: Lunch: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday, Dinner: 4-11 p.m.
Monday to Thursday and 4 p.m. to midnight, Friday and Saturday.
 Conferences and functions can be reserved by contacting DSN: 430-5433/civ. 0711-6805433.
 Catering services will be provided for conferences and special functions/events by the Golf Course
restaurant or Kelley Club restaurant caterers. Contact the Golf Course at 0171-469-0583 or Kelley Club at

New Java Café Hours
 Effective May 1, the Java Café on Patch Barracks will be open Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on training
holidays from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Cool Treats Season Opening May 2
 Stuttgart Theater Center, Kelley Barracks, Lobby, noon – 4 p.m.
 Pick up a free ice cream sandwich to celebrate the seasonal opening of “Cool Treats. Cool Treats is open
through the summer, Monday through Friday, serving ice cream, root beer floats, and novelty treats.

Post Offices closed May 4
 All Army Post Offices in the Stuttgart area will be closed May 4 for a software update. All Community
Mailrooms will operate normal business hours.
Kelley Barracks Fitness Center showers/saunas closed
 Showers, saunas and the women’s restroom in the Kelley Fitness Center will be closed, April 18 to May 26 for
plumbing and drainage repairs. An alternate restroom is provided. Alternate showers are available, located in
the Kelley Club. Patrons should connect with onsite fitness center staff for access and instructions.

Robinson Barracks Elementary School Gym closed
• Due to a structural failure on Jan. 27, the school gymnasium has been closed. The gym has been blocked off
and an alternate physical education location has been designated for gym class in the interim.
Kelley Car Wash closed
• The Kelley Car Wash is closed until further notice due to an infrastructure issue that the Directorate of
Public Works is servicing to repair.
• The self-service car wash on Kelley Barracks and its four pressure wash bays are currently out of service;
however, the high-powered vacuums are still operational.
• The Patch Car Wash is also available for car cleaning needs, open daily from 10:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. except for
U.S. Holidays.

Support Service Updates
Stuttgart motorcycle safety course temporarily unavailable
• The U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart training site used to provide active duty personnel their motorcycle
training courses is closed. The site is expected to reopen in the summer following repairs and
recertification.
• Motorcycle Safety Foundation training courses are required for all personnel to receive a valid MSF card in
order to legally ride motorcycles in Europe.
• In the meantime, active duty service members have two alternate options:
o Sign-up for a course at another U.S. Army Installation Command site by registering through the
CAC-enabled Army Traffic Safety Training Program at:
http://www.imcom-europe.army.mil/webs/sites/staff_org/safety/atstp/index.html.
o Locate a volunteer MSF instructor available to conduct individual training. Volunteers typically
provide training to civilians, family members and contractors not eligible for ATSTP courses.

Appliances, in-home maintenance
• To make a maintenance request contact the Service Order Help Desk at DSN: 421-6200/civ. 0711-7296200. Personnel should be home for the appointment. The Stuttgart Citizen website provides tips for
European appliance maintenance and use.
Travel Advisories
 Travel restrictions are in place for personnel/dependents for travel to certain areas in Europe. Personnel
should check in with their individual commands for specific travel restrictions.
iReport Europe
• iReport is a theater-wide reporting system that soldiers, civilians, contractors and family members in
Europe can use to report suspicious behavior to the appropriate authorities.
• iReport is available online and as a mobile app, visit www.eur.army.mil/iReport.
• To report an imminent threat or crime in progress, immediately contact the military police or reach hostnation law enforcement by dialing commercial in Germany: 112.
AtHOC emergency notification system sign up/deregistration
• ATHOC now has Self Service sign-up available with Common Access Card (CAC) access online.
• Service members may also enter a dependent (one additional account).
• AtHoc alerts users multiple ways through computers pop-ups, voice calls to landline and mobile phones,
emails and text messages.

Army Emergency Relief Scholarship Program
• May 1: Scholarship applications for the 2016-2017 academic year will be accepted until 3pm Eastern
Time.
• Army Emergency Relief maintains two scholarship programs – the Spouse Education Assistance Program
and the MG James Ursano Scholarship Program for dependent children. Both scholarships provide
financial assistance for students who are pursuing their first undergraduate degree.

Absentee Voting
• Presidential primaries are underway. Every U.S. citizen can vote while overseas by registering absentee.
Check the deadlines and online step-by-step tools available to vote via absentee ballot at www.fvap.gov.
• All citizens over age 18 are eligible to vote. - 17 year olds can vote in primary elections in 22 states,
provided they will be 18 by Election Day - November 8, 2016.
• The Voting Assistance Office is available for assistance on Panzer Kaserne, Building 2913 Room 114, or by

Tax Center
• The Stuttgart Law Center offers free tax preparation to service members, retirees, civilian employees, and
family members. Appointments are encouraged.
• Hours: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, Building 3312 on Kelley Barracks. Walk-ins will be accepted
based on availability from 9 a.m. to noon.
• Bring your photo ID, social security card, birth date, wage and earning statements, last year’s federal and
state returns, bank account routing and account numbers, and health care statements.

Navy Marine Corps Relief Society Campaign
• 2016 campaign officially kicked off Feb. 25.
• Provides financial, educational, and other need-based assistance to active-duty and retired Sailors and
Marines, their eligible family members, and survivors.
Army Emergency Relief Fundraising Campaign
• Mar. 1 through May 15: Campaign event
• AER provides financial assistance to all branches and can include: food, housing, utilities, vehicle expenses
and repairs, emergency travel, funeral expenses, certain medical expenses and many more financial needs.

Air Force Assistance Fund Campaign
• 2016 campaign ran in Stuttgart, March 21 to April 29
• The AFAF is an annual effort to raise funds for the charitable affiliates that provide support to our Air Force
family in need (active duty, retirees, reservists, guard and our dependents, including surviving spouses).
The charitable affiliate organizations provide support in an emergency, with educational needs, or a secure
retirement home for widows or widowers of Air Force members in need of financial assistance.

effective techniques, the rules of the game, plus a great workout. Classes are $12 per person and are

Capital City Visitation Program Tour

• Gain a better understanding of Germany and Baden-Württemberg. Learn how the German political system
and visit a few of Stuttgart’s downtown landmarks. Participants will be picked up and returned at the
Exchange bus stop. The tour is free and open to all ID card holders. Dress is business casual and good

The Young Americans Workshop

 Built in 1933, Dachau was the first Nazi concentration camp where over 200,000 people from all over
Europe were imprisoned until the survivors were liberated by American troops twelve years later. Tour
