Each light bulb can display bright, color changing RGB Light and a classic “Light Bulb” Warm White Glow. This allows users to create a beautiful spectrum of colors in each room, and brightly light up an area with white light at the touch of a button. The purpose of this manual is to explain the full functions of your Rainbow System, and to show you how to get the most of out of your RGB-W Lights in any lighting environment. These 9W LED light bulbs can be installed like a regular light bulb in any open-air light sockets. That means they cannot be enclosed tightly within a glass or plastic cover, and have to have open air ventilation at all times. This section will show how to install one Rainbow RGB-W Light Bulb, with additional bulbs being installed in the same way. 1. Installing your first Rainbow RGB-W Light bulb Your Rainbow RGB-W Light bulb Installs like a regular light bulb, and can be placed in a lamp or light fixture, that operates from 100V-220V, and is not encapsulated or covered. This is to prevent any heat buildup and extend the life of your Rainbow Bulb. 2. Place your bulb in the fixture. Your Magic Rainbow RGB-W Light bulb comes plug-and-play ready. Simply screw into a compatible fixture, and it will light up! You can now then assign your first bulb to a zone on your included RF remote control. 3. Synchronizing your remote to “Zone 1” Once your Rainbow RGB-W Light bulb is lit up, you can synchronize your first light bulb to “Zone 1” on your remote! To do, first ensure your remote has been powered with two new AAA batteries (not included), and the red light in the middle of the color wheel lights up whenever you push a button. AAA Batteries (Not Included) Zone 1 Power Button Turn your lamp/lighting fixture switch off, and then back on. Within the first two seconds of turning it back on, press the “Zone 1” Power button shown to the right. Your light bulb will indicate your have synced that button to that bulb by flashing a warm white. page 2 Figure 1. This section will show you a brief introduction to the buttons on your Rainbow Remote, and then show you detailed functionality. Figure 2. These two buttons are the Main power buttons and will turn on and off all of your Magic Rainbow Light bulbs in unison. Hold down the “On” Button to create an instant warm white in all of your Rainbow bulbs. On Off Color Wheel: The colored circle in the middle of your controller allows you to accurately control what color is being displayed on your RGB-W Rainbow Light Bulb. You can choose an RGB color either by touching a specific color, or by swirling your finger around the color wheel, cycling through a variety of colors. The indication light in the middle of your color wheel will respond whenever you press a button on your Rainbow RGB-W Controller Color Wheel Indication Light Zone Control: Now that you have successfully paired one remote, you can create up to four distinct zones (you can have multiple lightbulbs per zone). By repeating the steps on page two, but with Zones 2, 3 and 4, you can create four distinct zones, with individual control capabilities. To control a zone, simples press that Zone’s power button, and adjust your light however you desire. Pre-Installed Program Control: Your Magic Rainbow RGB-W Light Bulb System has 9 Pre-Loaded Programs which are listed in detail on page seven. You can cycle through these programs one at a time by pressing the M button, and control the speed at any time by pressing “S-” or “S+”. Program Start Decrease Program Speed Increase Program Speed Dimmer/Brightness Control: The dimmer in the middle of your remote has a slide dimmer that allows you to either tap on a desire brightness (during program operation or solid color display) or slide your finger to accurately find the right brightness for your LED lights. Simply slide a finger along the ergonomic dimmer bar, to accurately dim or brighten your Rainbow RGB-W Light Bulb. Dim Brighter page 4 ™ PRODUCT MANUAL Magic Rainbow 4 Zone Light Bulb System Toll Free. 866-592-3873 www.SolidApollo.com [email protected] RGB-W 4 Zone Lightbulbs Detailed Synchronizing Solid Apollo’s Rainbow RGB-W 4 Zone Light Bulb System can create up to four zones with any number of light bulbs within one of those zones. You can control individual zones, or all of your lights at once. 1. Adding RGB-W Light Bulbs to your current Zone. 1. Once you have created your first zone “Zone 1” as described on the Page 2, you can add light bulbs to that same zone. 2. Light up your second light bulb in any fixture you like, and it will turn on automatically when that fixture is turn on. 3. Get your remote ready, and turn your light fixture off, then on again. Within two seconds, tap the top of the “Zone 1” Button. 4. Your new RGB-W light bulb will indicate that it has been synchronized to “Zone 1” by flashing a Warm White color. Now when you are using your lights, and press zone one, you will control two bulbs. 5. Add as many Rainbow RGB-W light bulbs as you want to the first zone in this manner. ...1..2 2. Adding RGB-W Light Bulbs to a new Zone. 1. Once you are familiar with adding lights to a single zone, you can follow a very similar process to add more RGB-W Light Bulbs to a different zone. 2. Install your RGB-W Light bulb into a new lighting fixture. Get your remote ready, and turn your light fixture off, then on again. Within two seconds, tap the top of the “Zone 2” (if you want to assign it to zone 2) Button. 3. Your new RGB-W light bulb will indicate that it has been synchronized to “Zone 2” (or whichever zone you chose) by flashing a Warm White color. Now when you are using your lights, and press zone two, you will control your new bulb. 4. Controlling all of your lights at once. 1. It is very simple to control all of your Rainbow RGB-W Light Bulbs at once regardless of which zone they have been assigned to. 2. When all your light fixtures with RGB-W Light Bulbs are powered on, you can press the top power button (On) to select all of your lights. 3. Now when you move your finger around the color wheel, start a program, or dim your lights, all of your RGB-W light bulbs that are in the remote’s range will respond in unison. For instance, if you have two Rainbow bulbs synced, One displaying bright purple light and one displaying green light, and you press the power button, dimming your lights will dim both bulbs, while they retain each color. If you now press the yellow color on the color wheel, both will turn yellow, remaining dimmed down. 4. To create an instant white on all of your light bulbs, hold down the main “Power On” Button for five seconds. 4. Resynchronizing Your Rainbow RGB-W LED Light Bulb(s) have to be synched to a zone to respond to your remote. To change to a Remote Zone, you can simply resynch by first unsynching it from its current zones, then following the steps on pages 2 and 3 to resynchronize to any zone you desire. 1. Unsynchronizing: It is very simple to unsynchronize, or disassociate a RGB-W light bulb from its current zone. 2. To begin, simply turn off your light fixture where you wish to resynchronize the lightbulb. When turned back on, tap the current zone it is associated within two seconds of turning on your light fixture. Your light bulb will now flash a warm white color, indicating it has become unsynched. 3. Now you may resynchronize it with any zone by following the steps on pages 2 and 5. After resynchronizing you will see a response from your bulb in a new zone once you select that specific zone, and move your finger around the color wheel. Your Magic Rainbow remote comes pre-installed with 9 programs, which you can cycle through with the “M” button in the middle of your controller. While a pre-installed program is playing, you can press S- or S+ to change the program speed while it is playing. Chart 1. Program List 1. RGBW Fade in Fade Out •Fades in and out of the colors red, green blue, and white. 2. Color Flashing •Red, green, blue, white, yellow, purple flash in succession. 3. Disco Flashing •A variety of colors strobe and flash change. 4. Red Color Fade and Flash •In this program, red fades in to 100% brightness then flashes 5. Green Color Fade and Flash •In this program, Green fades in to 100% brightness then flashes 6. Blue Color Fade and Flash •In this program, Blue fades in to 100% brightness then flashes 7. Color change and Flash •Fades in and out of a variety of colors. 8. Fade in Fade out •A Pulse effect with a variety of RGB colors. 9. Strobe White •A Warm White Pulse Effect.
