A Forget Me Not Fund is a unique and lasting way to
remember someone dear to your heart. Named after the
person who has died, it allows relatives, friends, neighbours
and colleagues a focus, honouring their memory and
making a donation to St Richard’s Hospice.

There are a number of ways to set up your fund. You can:

As and when you want to make a donation,
do a fundraising walk or a challenge, or hold
an event in memory of your loved one then the
money all adds up in your dedicated Forget Me
Not Fund.

What is a Forget Me Not Fund?
You can set up a Forget Me Not Fund whether
or not your loved one received care from St Richard’s Hospice.
Why I support St Richard’s Hospice in memory of
a loved one..
When my beloved Alan died I needed to focus on
doing something worthwhile in his memory so that
he was never forgotten and to make us all feel that
something good could come out of this tragic time.
I started his Forget Me Not Fund to raise money
for the hospice in his memory. Our challenges
provided the focus, not only for me, but for Andrew
and Lizzie, our children, Alan’s siblings and our
wonderful friends, who were
all feeling his loss.
What a rewarding time we
have had! Not only doing the
challenges but also the
fundraising, as we watched
his Forget Me Not Fund
grow to an amazing amount.

What happens next?
Once you have requested a Forget Me Not Fund, we will
contact you to confirm the fund is set up.
Your Forget Me Not Fund is then ‘active’
You can encourage family, friends and colleagues to also
donate into your loved ones Forget Me Not Fund. To make
a donation into the Forget Me Not Fund simply quote the
name of your loved one or the Forget Me Not Fund
number to the Fundraising Department.
The future
We will send you an annual statement to tell you how
much is in your Forget Me Not Fund.
Your fund never ‘closes’, as family, friends and colleagues
may wish to continue their support in the future to mark
special occasions or give regularly through a standing order
or payroll.
If you have previously given donations in memory of a
loved one to St Richard’s Hospice and would like to set
up a Forget Me Not Fund and attribute all the donations
given in memory to date, please let us know.
