CREDIT HOUR & GRADING GUIDELINES FOR UNIVERSITY OF LEEDS
These guidelines have been developed based on information provided by the partner
institutions and by professional credential evaluation organizations. Since many of the systems
involved do not use the contact-hour method of calculating credit in use at NC State, this should be
taken as a guide rather than an absolute standard.
CREDIT HOURS
A full undergraduate course load for a year at the University of Leeds is 120 credits (equivalent to
60 ECTS credits). A 20 credit module is thus equivalent to one-sixth of a year’s work.
