Directions: You will create a newspaper from the Revolutionary time period or
during the writing of the Declaration of Independence (1763-1783). The newspaper
should reflect the beliefs and ideals of the time as well as the influences of individuals
or groups
Features: These are the checklist requirements you must research for your
newspaper. Use the provided note guide to organize the research you find. Make sure
you have at least 4 different sources for information.
! A newspaper title a slogan reflecting the Revolutionary time period
! A featured article that describes an event that shaped the Revolutionary
movement (from the front lines of one of the following battles: Lexington and
Concord, Bunker Hill, Trenton, Saratoga, Yorktown OR from an important event
such as the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Valley Forge, etc.)
! An interview with one of the following key individuals from the Revolutionary
time period: King George III, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas
Jefferson, Benedict Arnold, Patrick Henry, or John Adams
! A wanted ad poster for a volunteer soldier that describes the positive
character traits found in strong leaders
! A colonial advertisement
