School has been a hectic and exciting place over the last 2 weeks. The year 4 pupils had their
first transition event at Woodland, taking part in several activities including art, food tasting
and design technology. Grafham was fabulous and the weather was kind to us. I hope you
managed to follow us on Twitter and see all the fun things we got up to in our 3 days away.
Key Stage 1 children have been busy learning about canals and barges and enjoyed an interesting trip to Stoke Bruerne,to look at the Canal Museum and go on a barge trip through the
tunnel. Sadly the Teddy Bears’ Picnic had to move inside due to inclement weather, however
the Foundation children and their bears had a lovely time.
Parent consultations are on Monday and Tuesday next week. The sign up sheets have been
displayed all week so you should have all managed to sign up to see your child’s teacher. It is
important that you take the time to come and talk to the teacher about your child’s progress
and areas they need to develop. The consultations will be in the hall, please collect their work
from the shared areas and then make your way into the
hall and the teachers will call you when it is your turn.
Please remember appointments are 10 minutes, if you
need longer to discuss other issues then please do this at
another time. We need to keep to time so that other parents are not kept waiting.
MRS SOMMERS
We are very sad but very proud to say
that Mrs Sommers has been offered a
new position supporting post 16 pupils at
Northampton College. This means that
she will be leaving us at the end of this
term. We will miss her terribly but wish her
every success in her new venture.
MRS BARBER’S BINGO NIGHT
Mrs Barber is holding another Bingo Night on
Friday 31st March. Doors will open at 7pm with
eyes down at 7.30pm. There will be adult and
child prizes with fun for all the family. Bring
your own drinks and nibbles.
CAR PARKING
Can I please remind you that the car park is only for
staff parking and is not to be used as a drop off zone.
We have noticed that some parents have been dropping
off their children and letting them enter the playground
unattended. I know that parking is difficult at the beginning and end of the day, but you can use the park and
stride at Tesco. Please help us to keep the children
safe.
EASTER EGG RAFFLE
We will be holding our usual raffle of Easter Eggs donated by the Staff. Tickets are 20p each or £1 a strip (limit
of 2 strips per child) and the children can bring the money into class from Monday.
