3/13/17 The following are guidelines necessary to receive a free underground secondary/service offered by Natchez Trace Electric Power Association. The interested builder must do the following: 1. Contact the appropriate NTEPA representative prior to any construction above the slab or above the lowest conventional floor. If the footing extends past the brick ledge, the customer shall provide a notch in the footing. The notch width depends on the type of meter base and the depth of the footing. 2. Verify that the new home is all-electric. (Included with the exceptions below): The new home may be equipped with "one" set of gas logs or "one" infrared gas heater (not both in one dwelling) for emergency purposes and also use a duel fuel heat pump or geo-thermal unit if desired. The new home can also have a gas cooktop and /or a duel fuel stove. 3. Verify that a heat pump will be installed for the primary HVAC. 4. The new home must have an electric water heater to be eligible to participate in the new homes program. *** A new electric hot water heater or an electric replacement will qualify for a $50 bill credit. ***
