Be proud you have graduated from UNWE, appealed the university graduates the Rector of
UNWE Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev in the presence of a great number of people
gathered at the Ceremonial Hall of the university. At an official ceremony 80 Bachelors of
Science and 30 Masters of Science from the speciality Business Economics received their
diplomas. Twenty four of them graduated with excellent results and were awarded by
plaques and honorary diplomas. Plaques and honorary diplomas took a suitable place “on the presidium”.
Our university is the recognized leader, pointed out Prof. Stattev and reminded that 6 years
ago UNWE took the first place among the universities in the first institutional accreditation in
our country. Now UNWE is №1 also for the next six years! Only a month ago our university
has obtained a rating of 9, 65 by the ten point marking system in the institutional
accreditation of the National Agency for Assessment and Accreditation, outlined the Rector.
The Rector is saluting the university graduates.
You graduate from the professional field of Economics which has theoretically the highest
accredited assessment, specified also Prof. Stattev. At that you graduate from a unique
speciality, pointed out the Rector and announced that the speciality Business Economics is
forthcoming to become the tenth one studied entirely in the English language. Graduates from the elite speciality
“24 excellent students! It is nearly one third of the graduating students and it is an exclusively
high attestation!”, outlined the Rector. Your speciality is not only the most wanted but also the
most excellent one. It turns out an elite!”, pointed out Prof. Stattev and reminded that a lot of
the Prime Ministers and Ministers for the last two decades as well as the ones in the current
government had graduated from the UNWE. The Rector bestowed diplomas, plaques and honorary diplomas to excellent students. Only “a few real words” wanted to share with the university graduates also Prof. D.Sc.
(Econ.) Yosif Iliev, Head of the Industrial Business Department. Our graduates are not only
beautiful people but also people with an exclusive potential. And if UNWE is a leader in the
higher education then you are the future leaders of the state. You have overcome a lot of
challenges and I am sure you`ll face successfully also the future greater difficulties, said Prof.
Iliev to graduating students. “There are a very few universities where have such tolerance
and cooperation between students and lecturers as it is here”, outlined also the Head of the

The Rector Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev bestowed diplomas to the excellent students
accompanied by plaques and honorary diplomas. He defined Petya Doneva, “the first student
girl among the first ones”, as “Miss Business Economics”. “I believe we will be the
consecutive alumni due to the incredible lecturer team which led us in that trial. Now it is left
for us to find our place, to achieve our ideal for society and state”, said the best student girl. A plaque and honorary diploma for “the first student girl among the first ones”
