BoFiT, the IT platform from ProCom, automates processes company wide. On the basis of BoFiT, we
provide you with reliable solutions for planning energy generation and trade as well as for controlling

The IT platform BoFiT is based on a service-orientated architecture which is optimally
suited to mapping and automating business processes in the energy sector. The service
orientated architecture is composed of three levels: clients, applications and databases.
User-friendly clients
BoFiT is operated via five clients: ModelBuilder, ProcessBuilder,
ForecastBuilder, Operations and Administration. The clients are
designed for different user groups with specific jobs, rights and
requirements. As a result, you can plan and control energy generation and trade quickly and reliably.
Flexible applications
The application level serves as the BoFiT server. It contains the
core functions of the application. The applications fetch data (e.g.
from databases), interpret and process them, and then transmit or
store the results. Applications can communicate with each other
via the service bus and with the clients.

This is the level of data storage. Workflows, services and time series are stored in efficiently structured databases. Reports are filed
in various formats. Time-series data from external systems can be

You can access the many options that the BoFiT IT platform provides for automating business processes via the clearly-arranged clients ModelBuilder, ProcessBuilder,
ForecastBuilder, Operations and Administration.

ModelBuilder
The optimisation model is displayed and edited graphically with the BoFiT ModelBuilder.
Components and links can easily be added or changed. The structure of the optimisation
model can be divided into any number of levels through the use of containers. The ModelBuilder models complex facilities and components simply, clearly and conveniently.
ProcessBuilder
ProcessBuilder serves for modelling workflows in BoFiT and consequently for automating
business processes in companies. Processing routine tasks, e.g., day-ahead production
planning, is done reliably and comprehensibly. With this client, you set the degree of
automation.
Operations
Modelled workflows are carried out and monitored in Operations. All approved workflows are displayed clearly with their current status. In this way, you have a clear overview of which step BoFiT is carrying out at the time and the state of overall progress.
Administration
You can carry out all administrative tasks with the Administration client:
from managing users and domains all the way to assigning rights to individual users.
The BoFiT IT platform optimises company wide processes along the value chain
of energy production and trade.

Intelligent time series management
BoFiT has a high-performance time series management. Time series from external systems can be integrated without problems
using connectors. Not all times series data needs be stored permanently. Various storage types are available for time series data.
This enables flexible and efficient data management, which improves overall system performance.
Variants and scenarios
BoFiT has comprehensive options for structuring optimisation
tasks using model variants and scenarios. Model variants are
interdependent via an inheritance hierarchy. Different scenarios
can be derived and optimised from the model and its variants.
The term variant here designates a change of the actual model
and configuration properties. Scenarios stand for a change of the
input data, such as prices or loads. Scenarios can be optimised
in parallel.
Clear operating concept
In BoFiT, clearly arranged navigation instruments take users directly to the information sought. The editors for various objects
are structured uniformly. As a result, users can exercise their tasks
intuitively with fewer clicks.
