Disclosure pursuant to the Electricity Distribution Information Disclosure Determination 2012. Unison is
responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the electricity lines network that delivers
power to homes and businesses in Hawke’s Bay, Taupo and Rotorua. Unison’s electricity delivery
charges are a component of the electricity account you will receive from your electricity retailer. These
charges are not the same as the electricity retail charges that appear on consumer accounts. Retail

Notes
1. All price categories, with the exception of U01 and U02, include a fixed daily charge and one or more
variable charge. The variable charges that apply to your connection are dictated by the type of meter and
metering configuration.
7. Transmission charges due to be paid during the 2016-17 year represent 28% of the total
revenue forecast through these prices. Transmission charges in the 2015-16 year will
represent 27% of the total forecast revenue for this period.
2. On Peak Demand (OPD) is the kW’s delivered over the half hour period of maximum consumption between
the hours of 7am and 11am, and 5pm and 9pm on a working day.
8. Price options for Medium to Large customers based on kWh consumption; MC-24UC, MCCTRL, MC-NITE & MC-CTUD apply to MC1 and MC2 installations only.
3. Summer is the period 1 October to 30 April, Winter is the period 1 May to 30 September.

4. Anytime Maximum Demand (AMD) is the kW’s delivered over the half hour period of maximum consumption
during the month to which the charges apply.
5. The kVAr amount represents twice the largest difference between the kVArh amount recorded in any one
half hour period and one third of the kWh recorded in the same half hour period. The charge is applicable
only during week days, between 7am and 8pm.
6. Day (CTUD) is the period between the hours of 7am to 11pm and Night (NITE) is between 11pm and 7am.
