We have several sets of books ideal for English Language Learners and fostering Independent Readers. The
library has 6 copies available of each item in each of the following collections. These book sets are all available
for extended checkout periods. See titles on page 2.
Hampton-Brown Exchange:
With motivating content and in-book supports, this series encourages independent reading. Each book features On-Page
Coach In-Book Supports like Summaries at the beginning of chapters, On-Page Glossaries for vocabulary and
Comprehension Checks at the end of chapters. Downloadable Student Journals and Teacher’s guide are also available. The
collection consists of 45 titles divided into 3 reading level-based collections (2 -4 grade, 3 -5 grade, and 4 -6 grade) and

Adding illustrations in a variety of styles to curriculum-aligned poems, this series is an accessible and engaging introduction
to the world of poetry ideal for grades 4 -8 . By supplementing the text with graphic representations students are helped to
