Transportation During The British Industrial Revolution

 Transportation During The British Industrial Revolution During the British Agricultural and Industrial Revolution there were many changes in the transportation system and the ways that people used transportation. Some of those transportation innovations involved such things as steamboats, airplanes, and even the bicycle, among many others. Such transportation innovations had wide­ranging effect on people and the communities that they were part of. Eventually, these changes and innovations had a wider effect on the world. The steamboat were developed in the British Industrial Revolution, it affected many individuals. The steamboat boat were first described and patented by John Allen in 1729. The constructor of the boat were Jonathan Hulls, but Watt improved the steam engine. The first steam boat were built in France by Marquis Claude, but the french government didn't not have the money to develop this project. A few years after the steam boat made by Marquis model started to develop, and the british advances in developing steamboats. The steamboat affected many individuals lives and especially the workers. For the farmers the steamboat were a very effective tool to transport their products, this was both fast and safe. With this transport it allowed the farmer to not only to expand exports, but to then also to raise the prices. The optimal benefit with this transport, is that it could carry a larger amount of people and cargo. The steam boat also gave some people the the opportunity to work, this could be a life changing moment for someone that barely would have enough money to live. A big consequence is that the steamboat caused pollution, and that caused many britain to get sick. In this process was that there was a lot of burnt coal, and that also caused a shortage. At the same time this allowed many more business to open, like more hospitals, more mining companies etc. Overall, the steamboat had both positive and negative impacts on the individuals and the community. The brothers came from england and dutch, their names were Orville and Wilbur. They were brothers that work in a partnership to invent. Already as young kids they were really curious, and always read books. According to Bio.com Wilbur is “Born in Indiana in 1867, Wilbur Wright was the elder brother of Orville Wright,.. Orville born in 1871” (n.d). They were the first inventors that had done a successful controlled human airplane, this were done in December 1903. The wright brothers had a great impact on the world and communities. After the airplane turned out to worked, the army got attracted to the invention. The wright brothers didn´t only invent the airplane they also teached some people in the army how to control the plane. Wordpress states that “In six years, the flight school produced 119 certified pilots” (nd.). The airplane were a strong tool to have and it was especially good to have for britain in World War 1. Although the airplane had many benefits such as be able to travel faster, it still were expensive and it wasn't safe. The earliest sketch were made in 1493 by Leonardo da Vinci, but the first bike were made in the 1817 (Mozer, nd.). In the british revolution the bike had an enormous development. In 1870 the bike had come out with a model which the bike had a bigger wheel in the front and a smaller in the back. Ten years later the new model that had two of the same wheel had made a breakthrough, this model were invented since it was a lot safer than the higher wheeled one. The biked had many effects on individuals, example it improved the situation with the women's freedom. Before the bike were invented the women were often kept in their household and in their small villages area. The bike allowed women to drive further and on less time. There were many companies that also got attracted by the bike, and started to use it daily either to come to the job or to complete it. Like the postman, that used their bikes to deliver mail. The bike were also a problem solver if you needed to go far to the work and when you came there you would already exhausted. But with the bike it was far less exhausting and it were faster so the worker could stay later to get a better income meanwhile they came home at the same time. Although they were really affordable for the people that found freedom and convenience, they were still expensive for the ones with a low income. Between these two dates our world changed enormously.There was a series of new innovations that was introduced in this time period. Some innovations were new transports, from the horse carriage to example the bikes, the steam boat and the airplane. This made life easier and more convenient for many individuals and communities. The increase of transport also allowed individuals to be more free. During the British Agricultural and Industrial Revolution there occurred many changes and developments to the transportation system and for people using transportation.
