Honolulu, Oahu - Tour Begins
Aloha! Your adventure in the sun-drenched
Hawaiian Islands begins in Honolulu. Upon
arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a traditional
Hawaiian floral lei and whisked off by private
car to your Waikiki Beach hotel. Relax and
“hang loose” — you are in Hawaii!
Day 2: Friday, February 10, 2017 Oahu
This morning “Remember Pearl Harbor” as
you embark on a historic journey. Begin at the
World War II Valor in the Pacific National
Monument to view artifacts from the attack
and a short documentary on the Day of
Infamy. Travel by naval launch to the white
marble-clad USS Arizona Memorial. In the
silence, reflect on history as you gaze upon
the thousands of names inscribed on the wall
of remembrance. After this poignant
experience, take a city tour of Honolulu
highlighting the historic Iolani Palace, the
impressive state capitol building, King
Kamehameha’s statue, and the moving
National Cemetery of the Pacific, known as
the Punchbowl. The remainder of your day is
at leisure to explore Oahu your way. (B, D)
Day 3: Saturday, February 11, 2017 Oahu
Embark on a wonderful journey along
Oahu’s famous North Shore. If there is such a
thing as a perfect wave, you’ll likely find it
here. The large waves of this legendary surf
mecca attract the best surfers. Several
television series and movies were filmed in
this area. A stop in the surfing town of
Haleiwa will surely be a highlight as you
learn why surfers gather from all over the
world with waves ranging from 2 to 40 feet!
Rich with island history, Haleiwa is now the
social and artistic hub of the North Shore.
Here you will find surfers fueling up at the
restaurants in its plantation-era buildings
before hitting the famous beaches of Waimea
Bay, Ehukai (Banzai Pipeline) and Sunset
Beach. No trip to the North Shore is complete
without making a stop to savor one of
Hawaii’s favorite treats…shaved ice.
Hawaiians consider this the perfect treat any
time of day. Return to Waikiki and enjoy the
remainder of the day at leisure. (B)
Day 4: Sunday, February 12, 2017 Oahu Kauai
A short flight* takes you to the “Garden
Isle” of Kauai, the oldest island in the chain.
Only here, on the outer islands, can you find
the timeless world of ancient Polynesia. Upon
arrival, visit Kilohana Plantation and ride on
an authentic historic railway. Discover local
culture and the history of this working farm
as your guide highlights animals, vegetables
and exotic fruits along your journey. (B, D)
Day 5: Monday, February 13, 2017 Kauai
The day is yours to enjoy this beautiful
island at leisure. Stroll along the beach or take
advantage of your resort’s activities. You may
also choose to experience the island through
the eyes of Hollywood with a tour of the
island’s famous movie filming locations. (B,
D)
Day 6: Tuesday, February 14, 2017 Kauai
Travel to breathtaking Waimea Canyon.
Carved thousands of years ago by rivers and
floods, each of the lines in the canyon walls
represent a different volcanic eruption or lava
flow. At 10 miles long, 1 mile wide, and more
than 3,500 feet deep, it is considered the
“Grand Canyon of the Pacific.” Later, visit
the largest coffee estate in Hawaii and
Hawaiian Adventure
Three Islands featuring Oahu, Kauai and Maui
Presented by Maryanke Tour & Travel
discover the coffee bean’s journey from tree
to your morning cup. Learn about
sustainability practices and taste several of
their coffees. (B)
Day 7: Wednesday, February 15, 2017
Kauai - Maui
Board an inter-island flight* to the “Valley
Isle” of Maui, one of the most beautiful and
popular outer islands. Visit the stunning Iao
Valley and view the 2,000-foot-high Iao
Needle, one of Maui’s famous natural
landforms. Visit the old royal capital of
Lahaina, once home of the world’s largest
whaling fleets, where you can stroll through
historic streets. Travel through sugarcane
fields to the resort area of Kaanapali and
arrive at your deluxe beachfront hotel. (B)
Day 8: Thursday, February 16, 2017 Maui
Spend a day at leisure to see for yourself
why locals say “Maui no ka oi” (Maui is the
best). Perhaps you will take an optional
cliffside drive on the legendary Road to Hana.
Or you may choose to take a stroll along the
beach, shop for souvenirs or simply relax at
your luxurious Maui resort. There is no limit
to the adventures you can have on the
gorgeous island of Maui! (B)
Day 9: Friday, February 17, 2017 Maui
Enjoy another day in paradise. To cap off
your visit, you may decide to view the sunrise
from the summit of Haleakala. Tonight,
complete your wonderful trip with a farewell
dinner, Hawaiian-style, at a traditional
Polynesian luau featuring endless tropical
drinks and a sumptuous feast. (B, D)
Day 10: Saturday, February 18, 2017 Maui
- Tour Ends
Bid “Aloha” to Hawaii as your memorable
tour ends in Maui**. Now, wherever your
home is, you’ll always be part of the
Hawaiian “ohana” (family). (B)

TRAVEL TIPS:
Hawaiian Adventure
Listed below is important information to
assist you in preparing for your upcoming
trip. This information provided will help you
have a more enjoyable experience while you
are on your tour.
Accommodations
On some programs, there are a limited
number of single and triple rooms. Double
rooms usually consist of 2 beds. Triple rooms
are normally a standard double room with 2
beds. A cot or rollaway bed may be added to
the double room at some hotels, based on
room size and fire codes. When triples are not
available, appropriate charges for single and
twin accommodations will be assessed.
We make every effort to accommodate
your specific requests and forward them to the
hotels. These requests cannot be guaranteed
as hotels may not always be able to honor
them.
Check-in times are set by individual hotel
properties and vary by hotel. Depending on
your arrival time, there may be a delay in
gaining access to your room as most hotels
offer afternoon check-in. We ask guests to
observe check-out times at all properties as
designated by the hotel.
Some hotels require a credit card imprint or
your passport information upon check-in in
order to activate telephones in the rooms and
for potential incidental charges. Most hotels
charge an access fee for using phones in hotel
rooms. Please check with the front desk
personnel at each hotel for specific policies.
Hotel membership programs are not
applicable.
Arrival Day Suggestions
Due to varied flight schedules and different
arrival times of our tour guests, your tour will
not have any scheduled activities prior to
dinner on Day 1. Should your flight schedule
allow for an earlier arrival time that day,
enjoy the great opportunity for some
independent exploration.
Clothing & Packing Tips
As you prepare to explore Hawaii, enjoy a
casual dress style and be sure to pack
comfortable walking shoes.
Lightweight tropical clothing in highly
breathable fabrics such as cotton and linen are
highly recommended.
For men, casual resort wear in the form of
t-shirts, polo shirts, shorts, pants and aloha
shirts is perfect.
For women, island wear including dresses,
skirts, shorts and shirts is suggested. While
comfortable walking shoes are required for
sightseeing, sandals or flip flops may be worn
at other times.
It is recommended to bring a light jacket or
sweater for air-conditioned areas as well as
during the evening where it might get chilly.
Pack your bathing suit if you plan on
swimming.
Hawaiian Adventure
Three Islands featuring Oahu, Kauai and Maui
Presented by Maryanke Tour & Travel
A jacket may also be required for men if you
plan to dine at a formal restaurant. Hawaii’s
weather is generally sunny year round, but it
is a good idea to pack a light raincoat or
umbrella during winter months (November
through March) as it can occasionally rain.
Packing a hat and sunscreen is highly
recommended as well.
If you are taking prescription medication,
please be sure to take an adequate supply for
your tour and a few additional days, in
original prescription containers. Medication
should be packed in your carry-on baggage.
Do not place it in your checked luggage. You
may want to carry an extra prescription in a
separate bag in case medication is lost.
Electricity
An adaptor (which changes the physical
plug) and/or converter (which changes the
electric current) are necessary if you plan to
use an appliance with voltage different from
the standard within the country you are
visiting. Please note, if your appliance has
dual voltage you may still need an adaptor for
the plug.
When packing your electronic items for
travel, please review the converter electric
current level to make sure it is the same or
greater than the items you are planning on
using. If you plan on utilizing or transporting
a sleep apnea machine, please remember to
pack an extension cord and adapter plug to
ensure proper function.
Currency
Elevation
Your personal bank card may work at local
ATM machines in the destination you are
traveling to. Please contact your bank to
determine if this option is available, that your
PIN number will be accepted and to inform
them that you are traveling.
We recommend carrying only a few major
credit cards. Credit card purchases often
provide an extra guarantee on your purchase
(check with your specific credit card company
for details and fees). It is advisable to contact
any credit card company you intend utilizing
while on tour before you depart to notify
them where you will be traveling, to avoid
any rejection of services.
If optional tours are made available to
purchase, please note that credit cards must
have an expiration date of greater than 30
days from the start of the tour.
Sea Level to 2,000 feet.
Helpful Hints
Bring a camera, memory cards, film and
batteries and be sure to bring enough
photography supplies for your entire trip. If
you have a video camera, bring an extra
battery, plus proper recharging equipment.
Due to security screening, we recommend
storing your equipment in your carry-on
luggage.
Bring a travel alarm clock, travel sewing
kit and an alcohol based gel hand sanitizer
when soap and water is not accessible.
Pack items that may leak in plastic bags.
Do not pack any articles of value in your
checked luggage.
Hawaiian Adventure
Three Islands featuring Oahu, Kauai and Maui
Presented by Maryanke Tour & Travel
As a precaution, we suggest that you divide
the contents of your suitcase with your
traveling companion.
Avoid over packing and leave room for
souvenirs that you plan to take back home.
Bring a copy of your passport/identification
and pack it separately from the original.
Leave a copy of your tour itinerary at home
with your emergency contact and a copy of
your passport.
Remember when flying you can only take
one quart size bag with no more than 3
ounces of any one liquid. Liquids that do not
fit in the one quart size bag and are larger
than 3 ounces will be discarded by security.
Remember to hydrate and get up and
stretch while flying.
If you are considering using your cell
phone while traveling internationally, you
should check with your cell provider
concerning their access and charges for
overseas calls, texting and emailing for the
specific destination you are traveling to.
Included Features
The following are included in your tour
package: transportation via motorcoach,
accommodations, hotel luggage handling,
meals, sightseeing, admission charges (as
outlined in your itinerary), and applicable
gratuities for bellmen, doormen and dining
room wait staff. Customary gratuities for
hotel housekeeping staff, local sightseeing
guides, drivers and Tour Managers have not
been included.
Luggage
For your inter flights within Hawaii, there
is a fee of 25 USD each way on each inter
island flight for the first checked bag and 25
USD each way for a second checked bag.
Please consult with your scheduled airline
as luggage fees and restrictions vary by
carrier and destination. Due to the limited
motorcoach capacity, one checked luggage
(62 inches in length, height and width; weight
not to exceed 23kg/50lbs) is allowed on tour.
We also encourage just one carry-on bag
per individual (for carrying items that might
be needed during the day’s sightseeing
excursions or camera/video equipment).
Dimensions for carry-on bags should not
exceed 17” x 12” x 10”, allowing it to fit
under the seat or in the overhead rack of most
motor coaches.
If you exceed the limit of 2 bags, we
cannot guarantee that your additional luggage
will be able to fit in the touring vehicle.
Storage or shipment of additional luggage
will be at your own expense. If we are able to
accommodate your additional luggage, we
will assess a fee of 4 US dollars per bag per
hotel. Please remember to label your luggage
and important items with your name, home
address and telephone number.
We recommend labeling your luggage on
both outside and inside of the bag.
Please attach only the plastic luggage tag
included in this mailing to your checked
luggage before checking in for your flight.
Hawaiian Adventure
Three Islands featuring Oahu, Kauai and Maui
Presented by Maryanke Tour & Travel
Your paper luggage tag is to be attached at the
first hotel.
We cannot assume liability or accept claims
for loss or damage to luggage and personal
effects due to breakage, theft or normal wear
and tear that results from hotel, airline and
group carrier handling. It is in your best
interest to have adequate insurance (such as
our comprehensive “No Worries Travel
Protection”) to cover these eventualities.

Meals
Shopping
Most meals are included as indicated in
your document itinerary.
Guests with special dietary requirements
must advise their travel counselor at the time
of booking and also the Tour Manager upon
joining the tour.
When information is provided, every effort
will be made to accommodate these requests.
Please be advised that the average cost of
meals (not inclusive of tax and gratuity) that
are not included in your tour are as follows:
breakfast 10 to 20 US dollars, lunch 15 to 25
US dollars and dinner 20 to 45 US dollars.
Name Badges
Collette provides name badges to our
travelers in order to facilitate conversation
among fellow travelers. The name badge also
ensures that a Collette representative can
easily recognize you, especially at airports
upon arrival.
One of the best parts of traveling is coming
back home with souvenirs that really reflect
the place you’ve just been.
In Hawaii, colorful, charming souvenirs are
at your fingertips! Hawaiian attire — from
hula skirts and flowery Hawaiian shirts to
muumuus and Aloha shirts make great
souvenirs for your trip.
If you are looking to bring a taste of the
islands home with you, Hawaii is known for
macadamia nuts as well as its strong, flavorful
coffee.
Maybe adorn yourself with traditional
Hawaiian accessories like flower leis, shell
jewelry and pearls. They are all popular and
easy to find souvenirs.
Ukuleles, Koa carvings and products that
are decorated with a fish hook (a symbol of
prosperity) are also very popular.
Smoking
Our tours are non-smoking throughout.
Hawaiian Adventure
Three Islands featuring Oahu, Kauai and Maui
Presented by Maryanke Tour & Travel
If you require a smoking room, please alert
your agent upon tour booking.
Please be mindful of locations where
smoking is prohibited: the motorcoach, at
dining venues and other restricted areas on
tour including most hotels. Customers are
responsible for any fines incurred for failure
to comply with smoking restrictions.
Time Zone
Hawaii is 5 hours behind Eastern Standard
Time (6 hours during Daylight Saving Time).
Tour Manager
If you chose to purchase a land only vacation,
pay particular attention to flight segments that
occur during the tour which are not included
in your land only rate.
You must purchase these internal flight
segments and the schedule must match the
flights that we utilize on the group tour.
Please provide us with your flight
schedules for the entire tour six weeks prior
to departure so we may secure services if you
purchased transfers from us, as well as
maintain emergency contact.
Air Inclusive Vacations
We pride ourselves on having the best
trained and most experienced Tour Managers
in the industry.
Air inclusive vacations cover air transport
to and from your origin gateway as well as all
internal air segments on tour.
Gratuities should be extended on a
voluntary basis and should be in direct
proportion to the level of professionalism and
personal service extended to you throughout
the tour. Past experience has shown that a
guideline of 4-6 US dollars per person for
each traveling day is a customary amount for
the Tour Manager. A customary amount of 3-5
US dollars per person per day is suggested for
the driver.
In order to comply with Homeland
Security’s “Secure Flight” mandate, all
passengers must provide full name, date of
birth and gender at time of reservation. Your
airline ticket must match the name on your
valid, non-expired, government issued photo
ID to be shown at the airport (including
middle name, first or middle initial).

included in your air ticket and must be paid
by you on tour in local currency.

to this policy.
