EKO GEA’s bio-filter system provides both
filtration and disinfection - a low-cost, lowmaintenance, and more effective solution
to pool cleaning and maintenance.
How it Works: Our unique technology combines
a natural volcanic crystal perlite bio-filter with
EKO GEA’s marine algae additive which bioactivates and speeds natural cleaning processes. The result is complete digestion and
elimination of harmful bacteria, suspended solids, and other microorganisms plus natural filtration which exceeds that of other swimming
pool filter media (sand, cartridge filters, DE).
EKO GEA activates beneficial microbiological cleaning - the same technology used in
wastewater treatment plants.

EKO GEA’s bio-media is volcanic, natural
stone which is chemically & biologically
inert. It is 97% silica and is especially porous, lightweight, and robust. Due to its
vulcanisation, it does not compress and
acts to prevent clogging.
EKO GEA is made from the same raw
material used in health spas for skin
treatment - natural, healthful marine
algae which conditions skin and hair.
