President’sReport OvertheEasterweekendweentertainedmany of Brisbane’s best bridge players at our major bridge congress, the BBC Easter Pairs and Teams. Onceagainitwasahugelysuccessfulcoupleof dayswithsomenotableperformancesbysome ofourclubmembers.Resultswillappearlaterin this newsletter but I would like to congratulate all members who played and a special “welldone!”toallourwinnersandrunners-up. Thelogisticsoforganizingtheseeventsarehuge and require enormous efforts from members. I want to thank Chris Larter for coordinating the entire event, and to Chris and Arne for setting uppriortoplay. Janette Hiatt is fast becoming a legend for her brilliance in organizing the catering at these events, and once again our visitors congratulated me on our Club’s ability to provide brilliant catering in the context of a happyplayingenvironment. Janette wishes to join me in giving enormous thanks to those selfless members who worked so hard in the kitchens and preparing the food over the two days.
