Kulnura Firemist 'On Arch' x Kulnura Lickedy 'Revesby'
B120
Generally when I breed to advance a colour line I look at my
key factors. Growth, colour, spike production and then form.
This cross has a great combination of floriferousness and
form. 'Revesby' has excellent petal width right into the centre
of the flower, this will fill up the overall form. Expect large
pinks, tending to fuller shapes. These will be very free
flowering.
Kulnura Salsa 'Gold lip' x Kulnura Salsa 'Pell'
B126
The splash petal style of sarc is still in it's infancy. In reality
we have only come one step. What we are looking to do is
create a flower with red sepals and gold petals. At this stage
of the development, we are still getting an understanding of
the inheritance of this trait. So I am uncertain of the
expectation. My plan is to infuse red into the line and in
combination with 'Gold lip', intensify the gold in the petals.
can't wait to see these flower.
Elegance 'Super' x Bonanza 'Big Pat'
B127
This is a cross that I have been waiting to see since I made it.
Elegance 'Super' is a fantastic parent, proven in the Kulnura
Dragonfly. In combination with Bonanza we are going to see
some of the most fabulous patterned sarcs. Long spikes of
full shaped flowers. Very exciting and highly recommended.
Madge 'One' x Parma 'Lemon'
B129
The Madge grex have great substance, form and intensity of
colour. These are attributes that we are looking to improve on
in the yellow lines. I expect we will see mostly poached egg
style flowers with much improved form from the Parma.
Kulnura Lickedy 'Revesby' x Elegance 'Super'
B154
These are going to be fanantastic, full shaped forms. Some of
the best pink flowers we have produced so far. The
presentation of flowers will the arching "fox tail" style, from
very vigorous plants
Kulnura Firemist 'Bunch' x Bunyip 'pale pink'
B157
The Kulnura Firemist flower early in the season. This is an
interesting developmental line as it brings the flowering back
to the spring show season. We will see large flowers in the
pink to red shades. Bunyip is in both sides of the cross, this
should ensure a greatly improved form result. Flowers will
present on arching stems.
Amber '3 spk' x Elegance 'Super'
B159
As we build the quality of the yellow colour style it is
necessary to make crosses away to non yellow parents. When
looking to improve shape of flowers it is hard to go past
Elegance 'Super'. 'Super' is a proven producer of quality
offspring. What we will from the colour? Not sure, the way
the orange tones interact with the other colours is still
unknown.
Kurumba 'Red and White' x Kulnura Spice 'Halo' AMAD/AOC
B161
In my opinion a touch of white in the red is very attractive. In
this cross we see two intense red flowers with white flashes
combined. These will be true red flowers, again with white
flashes, held on arching spikes. The plants will be compact
growers.
Kulnura Absolute 'Dot' x Kulnura Dazzel 'Clear dots'
B162
Perhaps the brightest of the colour forms is the spotted style.
The combination of white and bright pink is truly eye
catching. This cross brings the full shape of Kulnura Absolute
with the exceptional colour of the Kulnura Dazzel. The habit
of inflorescences will be upright and numerous.
Kulnura Periwinkle 'Bright pat' x Sweetheart 'Speckles'
B175
Kulnura Periwinkle 'Bright pat' is the one brightest coloured
flowers we have. 'Speckles' brings form and excellent
texture. I'm looking to improve the shape and see a similar
colour result to that of the Kulnura Dragonfly.
Kulnura Spice 'Blood' x Cherrie Dawn 'Peloric Pink'
B183
Similar to the B126, this is a splash petal developmental cross.
The Kulnura Spice 'Blood' has great depth of red in the
segments and a deep golden labellum. These are the
contrasting combination I would like to see in the splash
petal. These plants are vigorous growers and will be very free
flowering.
Kulnura Intensity 'Deep Pink' x Orange Glow 'Flames'
B185
Kulnura Intensity 'Deep Pink' is a solid bright pink, a real
stand out. Combining it with Orange Glow 'Flames' will
make a great hybrid. Expect long stems of bright intense pink
from some of the most vigorous plants we have.
Rebecca 'Red Beauty' x Parma 'Lemon'
B187
This is an interesting cross. Rebecca carries abla genes, so
there will be some pure yellows. This style of hybrid, red
carrying alba x alba, is also a chance of producing orange
shades. The remainder will be true dark reds. Expect good
growing plants with finer than average foliage.
Kulnura Shades '1' x Kulnura Kaliedescope 'Peach'
C015
This cross is a great progression of the orange peach colour
form. Both parents show free flowering characteristics and
are good growers. If you're looking for the latest in colour
development, these are for you.
Kulnura Shades 'Orange' x Bunyip 'Salmon'
C024
Bunyip 'Salmon' carries albino genes. Half of these will
flower yellow, the remainder will be the full range from red
to orange. Another huge advancement in yellow form.
Fairy 'Scarlet' x Kulnura Spice 'Red Cherry Blossom'
C027
Fairy is a reliable producer of red flowered progeny. Here we
combine it with one of our solid reds. This Kulnura spice is a
very free flowering plant often producing 4 spikes to a
growth. Expect deep reds.
Kulnura Festival 'Flash' x Kulnura Spice 'Blood'
C029
This combination reinvents the red centred white. Super dark
red centres will dominate the flowers appearance. These are
impressive flowers. There will be some full red from this
cross as well.
Parma 'Lemon' x Roberta 'Good Yellow'
C030
These two yellows are standouts. Expect lovely bright yellow
flowers well displayed on arching stems. Recommended for
the show grower.
Bunyip 'Big splash' x Kulnura Dew Drop 'Quality'
C034
These are going to be good shaped pinks with darker centres.
Super vigorous plants producing multiple spikes. High
quality results here.
Fairy 'Scarlet' x Kulnura Gizmo 'Big Salmon Pink'
C056
Fairy 'Scarlet' is one of the best producers we have. By
combining it with Kulnura Gizmo I am looking to bring the
depth of colour from it parents (Zoe and Kulnura Dazzel). I
expect reds on long stems from vigorous plants.
Roberta 'Good Yellow' x Ice Magic 'pc carrier'
C088
There will be awards from this cross. This is a combination of
the alba Roberta with an alba carrier. This means that the red
in the center will yellow in 50% of the seedlings. The purpose
of a cross like this is to improve the quality of the alba flower.
Expect high quality form in the poached egg style.
Recomended.
Rosella 'Spotty' x Kulnura Sweetie 'purple spot' HCC/AOC
C091
The spots that come from Rosella are some of the most
intense I have seen. They look like red texta blotches. These
parents are proven to produce upright spikes and lots of
them. Great spotted colour from this mating.
Kulnura Rusty 'Pink Red' x Kulnura Rossetta 'Lovely'
C095
This cross is very exciting in the pink developmental line.
Kulnura Rusty has a graceful arching display, were as
Kulnura Rossetta is very upright and a little bunched. Both
flowers are nice and flat, but 'Lovely' has the fullness we are
looking for. A good combination for the show bench grower
or if you just like nice pink flowers.
