Garry Puetz, Superbowl Winner
and class of 1969
On Friday April 4th. Garry will share highlights and insights from his football career, and
his memories of how his Luther North days contributed to his career.
Garry graduated from Luther North and played football at Valparaiso University. In 1971
and 1972, he was named to the Kodak College Division All-American Team. A threetime All-ICC offensive tackle (also kicker in 1972). Garry then played 10 season in the
NFL with five different teams. He earned a Super Bowl ring in 1982 with the Washington
Redskins.
You are invited to be with us for this special event. After Garry and some of his coaches
from his Luther days meet with students during the afternoon, he will join us for a cash
bar and fellowship at Suparossa Restaurant, 4256 N. Central Ave., at 4:00 pm. We will
have an informal dinner from 5 pm to 6:30 pm and return to Luther North to hear Garry
speak about the NFL and answer your questions. A cash bar and dessert will be
available in the cafeteria beginning at 7:00 pm.
