Teaching objectives
Students will learn to distinguish the different contexts in which accounting
operates, represented by the information systems, including the legal, national
and international, ethical, social, and environmental frameworks; the accounting
profession; the firm; identification of the operator with the specific language of
accounting, as well as the presentation of ideas and reflections using
accounting terminology.
Use of the principal accounting practices in compliance with national
regulations.
Understand financial statements and make basic appraisals of the limitations of
practices and procedures for the disclosure of financial information arising from
their preparation in accordance with accounting regulations.
Master sufficient theoretical and normative knowledge for the recording and
summary of transactions and other economic events; preparation of financial
statements.
Know how to make an elemental interpretation of financial data on the basis of
financial statements.
Construct knowledge in an active way, selecting information from various
sources, organizing it into structures that are coherent and connect it with
previously acquired knowledge, both at the start of the degree and

The basic objective of the module is to impart knowledge to students that will
allow them to understand different facets of tourism activity, especially in its
economic dimension, as well as awakening their interest in national and
international events that have an impact on the tourist sector.
This broad objective will lead to the following learning results:
Knowledge of the economic dimension and impact of tourism.
Knowledge of offer and demand in the tourism sector at a regional, national and
global level.
Knowledge of the economic structure of the principal tourism sectors.

6763 Introduction to Mercantile Law

Teaching objectives
The student is expected to gain a general panoramic view of Mercantile Law:
the firm –as a preliminary and organisational concept of the content of
mercantile law, its owner –the business manager- and its external activity –
business activities -.
Likewise, special emphasis will be placed on the detailed study of contracting in
the tourism sector and its particularities within the framework of mercantile law.

Provide the student with basic knowledge on the concept of Natural and
Cultural heritage, and on the regulations that govern identification, definition,
conservation, diffusion and management of heritage, as well as helping the
student to analyse the constitutive elements and conservation criteria of natural
and cultural spaces.

Teaching objectives
On this module, students will be expected to:
* Know how to apply their knowledge to their work and vocation in a
professional way and gain the competences that are usually demonstrated
through the preparation and defence of arguments and problem solving within
its area of study.
* Have the capability to gather and interpret relevant data (normally within their
area of study) to form judgments that include reflection on relevant themes of a
social, scientific and ethical nature.
* Are able to convey information, ideas, problems and solutions to both a

Teaching objectives
I.- General teaching objectives
1. An understanding of the basic materials related to the students and their daily
lives. Capability to repeat, reproduce and write words (characters) or sentences
without errors.
2. Awaken an interest in the Chinese language and confidence in learning it.
3. With the guidance of the teacher, start to gain knowledge of didactic,
communicative, and interdisciplinary strategies, as well as those relating to
learning and resources. At this initial stage, students will also start to develop an
interest in Chinese culture and acquire intercultural awareness and global
perspectives.
II. – Introduction to the study of the Chinese language. The languages of China.
Linguistic geography of the Chinese language.
1. Spoken languages: Hanyu, Guānhuà, Guo Yu, Pǔtōnghuà, and Bo Po Mo Fo
(BPMF) the national phonetic system of Taiwan.
2. Written language: sources and evolution of the written language. Basic
strokes of the characters.
Analysis of the elements of the character. Simplified and traditional characters:
Wényán Wén and Báihuà.
3. Linguistic policy: Linguistic reforms. Standardization of the spoken language.
Transcription systems: Pinyin and Wade-Giles.
Problems surrounding the application of occidental grammatical categories to
the Chinese language.
4. Phonology: phonology of modern Chinese. The dialect of Beijing as a model
for pronunciation. Tones, Initial and final vowels and consonants. Intonation.

5. Morphology: structure of written Chinese characters. Principles of character
formation. Etymology of the radicals. Basic characters, pictograms and
ideograms, phonetic compounds and other types of characters. Number of

Principles of word formation: monosyllables, polysyllables, neologisms.
6. Syntax: typological characteristics of the Chinese language: Subject-verbobject; adjective-noun; classifiers-numbers. The simple sentence. The
affirmative sentence. The negative sentence. The interrogative sentence.

1. Basic knowledge of China and its territory relating to its achievements in
education and culture.
