Love to Read in February You will LOVE the book club selection for February! Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother is a laugh-out-loud funny book that ignited a global parenting debate with its story of one mother’s journey in strict parenting. Amy Chua argues that Western parenting tries to respect and nurture children's individuality, while Chinese parents typically believe that arming children with skills, strong work habits and inner confidence prepares them best for the future. Achingly honest and profoundly challenging, this book is one of the most talked about books of our times. Pick up a copy of the book at the library and join us for what is sure to be an interesting discussion. Join us at the library on Monday February 25 at 6:30 pm or Wednesday, February 27 at 1:30 pm for our discussion. New members are always welcome.
