Hello,
Spring has finally arrived, just in time for the Easter bunny. Hope everyone
had a great Easter, recently the Easter bunny came by our children’s party
and everyone had a great time. Thanks Easter bunny!!
Our cook Teresa is doing a nice job for us. Thank you for all you do to help
keep everything running smoothly.
Bingo seems to be doing well, don’t forget we always need volunteers for
different activities going on. David Ashby, bingo chairman keep up the
good work.
A big Thank You goes out to everyone who was so willing to volunteer their
time to help with our buffet breakfast. I was sorry our turnout wasn’t what
we had hoped for. Please help us get the word out for our next one in April
9am-12pm. Also, I would like to say thank you to our women for providing
deserts at our cook your own steak night, second Saturday in April.
Don’t forget Saturday night shuffleboard starts at 730pm.
Hard to believe this year will soon be over! WOW!!
Please let's remember to clean up the playroom when you leave. Thank
you.
Until next time,
Bill Nixon, Governor
Hello Members,
The VTAB tourney was completed and prizes awarded. First place went to Betty Whitehead, second to Randy Taylor,
and third to Goldie Nixon. Everyone enjoyed the tournament. There was no cost to get into the tournament. We can
do it again if we have enough member interest.
We had a very successful pool tourney. First through fifth place prizes were awarded. Our winners were, First Randy
Clary, second John Merritt, third Jay Jackson, fourth Randy Taylor, and fifth Brian Cmolik. Everyone had a good time and
many have asked to do it again. There is no cost to the members and very nice prizes are awarded. Randy Clary will be
having another tourney soon.
Just to remind you that the Social Quarters is currently being managed by the House Committee and they have been
doing a great job. Please be patient with them.
The House Committee voted to discontinue the Moose Legion first Sunday of the month breakfast buffet due to lack of
volunteers. We have the same issue with the breakfast buffet on the third Sunday. Unless we can get our good
members to step up and volunteer once in a while this event may be in jeopardy as well.
Our new cook, Teresa has done an excellent job of providing meals to our members and guest. We feel more meals are
being purchased as a result. If you have any suggestion for Teresa please let her know. Watch in the social quarters for
special meal postings.
The House Committee also voted to discontinue meal specials on the third Friday as it is difficult to properly service our
members and the bingo crowd. Orders will be taken only from the menu on this night.
Remember our member drive campaign. Sign up 3 members and you get a free steak dinner.
Members will be seeing a letter from the lodge in the mail. This is a result of Stuart Saunders taking the time to work
our membership drive. Please take the time to read the letter and respond.
As many of you know Eric (Cuz) Nachtman recently passed away. He will be missed. Our hearts go out to his wife
Barbara during this sad time.

Greetings Co-Workers,
I hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather we have been having.
Getting to be the time to start having some outside fundraising so if anyone has an idea that
they would like to do, please let me know and the WOTM will be glad to help.
We had our Special Olympics and thanks to Don and Judy Barrett for all the hard work they
put into this. Also for the volunteers who gave of their time to help.
The blood drive was on the same day as the Special Olympics so the count was down some but
there still was a nice turn out. If will be held again in October and maybe we can double the
amount at that time. It's good to give blood because it could save a life.
Membership/retention -Lloydette Diggs finished her board and Goldie Nixon was the winner.
Congratulations Goldie. Thanks Monica Gore and Diane Knupp for helping her to do that.
The steak dinner for the bingo workers was fantastic. Thanks to David Ashby and JD for
taking care of their volunteers who help to work the Bingo. Also, JD's daughter and friend's
charity bingo. Also would like to thank Leann, Teresa and Cramer for their help with
preparing the food and the clean up later. Job well done.
The WOTM started bate with their dessert sales and it was a sellout. I was very pleased to
see how much it was missed.
A special thank you to John Merritt for taking his time to have karaoke on Saturday nights.
So if you feel like singing or just like to hear others sing, please come out and bring a friend.
It's always fun and good fellowship with others.
Lloydette Diggs & her membership committee had the month of March for the food at our
meetings. Thank you and it was delicious.
The WOTM will be holding a fundraising dance.
