Description: A curriculum to improve fundamentals, develop a practice routine, and improve on-course play performance for future tournament play. The junior golfer will work on improving existing golf skills of the full swing and short game using fun drills and exercises. Students will play golf on the course applying the rules practicing proper etiquette, maintaining pace of play, and keeping score. Players will get one -on-one coaching on club selection, reading greens, leading them to more competitive play. Format: Each session includes 1 hour of practice time on full swing and short game fundamentals, preshot routine, followed by two hours of on- course play and instruction. Prerequisite: Prior lessons and experience playing the game following rules & etiquette, score 55 or less for 9 holes, maintain pace of play, and comfortOption 1 Sat April 6, 13, 20, 27 9 am— 12 noon able playing with others. Player and parent must read and sign a Junior League Contract prior to registration and comply with expected behaviors. Players must arrive at course 30 minutes before play. Players will be paired up in threesomes or foursomes. Each week a fun contest will be played. All players will complete 9 holes. Diane will be on the course with the golfers until 2:30 helping with any needs of the golfers (rules, pace of play, course management, or swing instruction). At end of 9 holes, golfers will return scorecards to the clubhouse. ·Goal of league: To use organized play and on-course instruction to tutor juniors in the area of scoring, self and course management, self worth of the golfer.
