Pale peppered moths originally outnumbered dark peppered moths

Pale peppered moths originally outnumbered dark
peppered moths because the original moths were
pale and birch trees were silver, so they were more
camouflaged and had an advantage. The black moths
were a mutation so they didn’t camouflage on the
birch trees, they didn’t have an advantage and
couldn’t reproduce as easily.
When the airs were polluted by industrial machines,
the habitat was more adapted for dark moths
because the birch tress turned black. The dark moths
had more chance to reproduce and to evolve to
exactly the dark shade of brown as the tree. They
were less vulnerable to predators because they were
adapted to this shade of bark.
This means the pale moth could become extinct if
they don’t find another tree to be camouflaged. Could
the industrial era be the end of the pale peppered
moths?
