Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program
SNAP
In Minnesota 50,000 seniors are using SNAP to buy healthy food. Are you? SNAP comes on an EBT card
and works like a debit card to buy food. The minimum amount is $16 per month and though that may
not sound like much, it is enough for 4 pounds of ground beef, 5 gallons of milk or 6 dozen eggs! A senior earning less than $1, 605 each month may qualify for SNAP and if you have high medical or living
expenses, you too may qualify with a higher income limit.
Contact Lakes & Prairies at (218) 512-1550 for more information
on how you could get signed up for SNAP.
