A charming apartment on two floor, part of an ancient building which originally was a mill.
Shared pool and nice location in beautiful nature.
The building where Salvie is located has been restored and divided into two residences. The
owner live in the other apartment next door but with separate entrance to guarantee the
privacy. On the property there are also other two small apartments for rent.
The house once was an old mill and the owner who is an architect has preserved many
original features in the apartment. It has been restored with great attention respecting the
rustic atmosphere but in the same time adding modern comfort. The apartment is suitable for
persons who appreciate the original atmosphere, the ground floor was once a cellar in the mill
with askewed walls and only a small window.
The position is wonderful in one of the most attractive areas of Lucca. The view over the
surroundings with its beautiful vineyards and olive groves is breathtaking. The area is one of
Lucca's D.O.C registered wine areas with several vineyards in the area where it is possible to
buy red and white wine and olive oil.
The apartment consists of:
Living room with fire place and wood-fired oven, kitchen with gas hob, dishwasher, fridge with
freezer. On the kitchen floor, through a glass, it is possible to see the duct where the water
once passed to run the millwheel.
On the upper floor there are two spacious bedrooms (possibility to add an extra bed for a child
under 16 years) Two bathrooms with shower. Internet connection available.
The house is surrounded by a well-maintained garden and in a beautiful panoramic position
there is a sunken swimming pool (5,50 mt x 12 x 1,50 deep ) shared with the owner and the
guests in two other small apartment on the same property. Children in or around the pool must
be under adult supervision at all times.
