Who should apply?
Our Car Finance is available to a range of customers depending on
satisfying some qualifying criteria. You’ll love our product if you are;
Aged 18 or over and a resident in the
Republic of Ireland
Employed or retired and hold a bank
account suitable for Direct Debit payments
Financing €4,000 or more
Buying a car from an approved
SIMI/Franchised Motor Dealer in the
Republic of Ireland
Buying a car that is 5 years old or younger
Financing the car over no more than 5
years, depending on the age of the vehicle
If you meet these criteria you may be able to avail of our great value
Car Finance. To establish suitability for Car Finance, applicants will be
subject to a credit search with the Irish Credit Bureau.
What is Hire Purchase?
The Car Finance product available from Post Insurance is a Hire Purchase
Agreement which is arranged and administered by First Citizen Finance DAC,
trading as Post Insurance Car Finance, who purchase the car on your behalf from
an approved SIMI/Franchised Motor Dealer – once you have put down an agreed
deposit (your deposit could come from a trade-in, cash or a combination of both).
You can then pay monthly instalments over an agreed repayment term of
between 1 and 5 years, depending on the age of the vehicle being financed.
The car then becomes your property when you make your final instalment;
it really is that simple! You will not own the car though, until the final payment
is made. Final payment includes €1 Completion Fee.

The payments on a €15,000 hire purchase agreement over 48 months are €363..58 per
month and the total cost of credit is €2,452.84 Finance example is based on a fixed rate

Finance provided by way of a Hire Purchase Agreement as defined by the Consumer Credit
Act (1995). Subject to current lending and underwriting criteria. A deposit may be required.
A joint hirer may be required. APR quoted in example is correct at time of publication and
applies to new and used vehicles. APR is fixed for duration of the agreement.
Post Insurance will complete the application form with you and pass the completed
application to First Citizen Finance DAC, trading as Post Insurance Car Finance, who will
complete the process and administer the product from then onwards.
