All formulas for area and volume are on the reference sheet.\
All conversion tables are on the reference sheet.
Perimeter is the measure around a figure. The perimeter of a figure is found by adding the measures
of all its sides. Answers contain units such as cm., in, km, m, etc.
Circumference is the length around a circle. Answers contain units such as cm., in, km, m, etc.
Area is the measure of the space inside a planar (2 dimensional) figure. Answers contain units raised
to the 2nd power: cm2, in2, yd2, and so on.
Volume is the measure of the space inside a e dimensional figure. Answers contain units raised to the
3rd power such as: cm3, in3, yd3, an so on.
The word “dimensions” refer to any of the following: length, width, and height.
The sum of the angles of any triangle is always 180°.
The sum of the angles of any quadrilateral is always 360°.
The sum of the angles of any n-gon is (n-2)180. (See reference sheet).
To find the surface area of any figure, find the area of each face and then add them up.
A “prism” is a box. The most popular prisms are: square prisms, rectangular prisms, hexagonal prisms,
and triangular prisms. They take their names from their bases.
