[Asseded to, November 17th, 1882.1 W HEREAS it is desirable to amend "The Manufacturing Districts Act "-Be it therefore Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and IIousc of Assembly of thc said province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows: 1, This Act may be for all purposes cited as turing Districts Amendment Act." Where any proposed or existing manufacturing district is uninhabited, any person, by petition signed by himself and addressed to the Governor, may pray him to establish a manufacturing district, or to alter the boundaries of any existing manufncturing district, or to add to the manufactures to be carried on in such existing district. Petition to be concurred in by neighboring householders. 4. Every petition under the last section shall be concurred in and signed by( a ) Where it is sought to establish a manufacturing district, then by not less than three-folrlrths of the householders resident outside such proposed district within the distance of a quarter of a mile from the proposed boundaries thereof : ( b ) Where it is sought to alter the boundaries of any existing manufacturing district, then by not less than three-fourths of the householders resident outside of such manufacturing district as altered within the distance of a quarter of a mile from the proposed boundaries thereof as altered : (c) Where it is sought to add to the manufactures of any existing manufacturing district, then bv not less than three-fourths of the householders reside&, outside such manufacturing district within the distance of a quarter of a mile from the boundaries thereof. ~ Repeal. 5, Section 3 of the principal Act, together with so much of section 4 thereof as refers to the signature of petitions, is hereby repealed.
