Have you ever stayed up into the late
hours of the night because you were
putting together a 500, 1000, or even
5000 piece puzzle? Try putting a
puzzle together without the picture
on the box top would be a very
difficult task. As it is God who
builds the church, He has the box top
and we must trust in Him for
wisdom, guidance and direction.
“...praising God and having favor
with all the people. And the Lord
added to the church daily those who
were being saved” (Acts 2:47).
The transformation of our precious
young people growing up in an
adverse environment is truly a
testimony of God’s love. They could
be rowdy at times, but when God’s
Word is preached, they cease their
prayerletter
activities and listen attentively,
devouring the teaching of the Word.
They are like branches thirst for and
taking in the nutrients and strength
of the Vine - they are on their way to
bear fruit! This coming Saturday,
these young people will hit the
streets of San Francisco Chinatown
and pass out Gospel tracts. May the
Father be glorified!
To better serve the community, we
moved the worship service from
Sunday afternoon to Friday evening.
After the corporate worship, the
church family attends Bible study
and fellowship according for their
age groups. Lord willing, a Bible
study for the Cantonese-speaking
parents will start soon.
Church Planting
Peter, Ann & Ava (3yo)
Year Of The Tiger
Recently, I had an opportunity to meet
a fellow church planter, Pastor Peter
Wang of Overflow Christian Community Church. He’s reaching the second
generation Asian Americans in the
Silicon Valley. Please pray with us as
we seek God’s guidance in establishing
a partnership to reach the lost in that
community.
Feb. 14th begins the new lunar year
4707, the Year of the Tiger. In
addition to our standard version, we
also produced a “parade version,”
completed with a map of SF
Chinatown, to prepare for our annual
tract passing on Feb. 27th. May the
seeds be sown and produce a great
harvest for the Lord.
Together in Christ,
Tim Wong
