Art Department Competition Brief Is the tablet mightier than the 2B pencil? There’s nothing wrong with that! Do you prefer to digitally colour your artworks? Not a problem. With our Digital Art Competition, we encourage you to push the limits of what you can do and get digital! Take our lovable mascots to a world that you envision. This year’s concept is… SMASH! Revival Party! It’s the 10 year SMASH! anniversary bash! Thanks to you guys, our loveable mascots, Cyrus and Skadi, have learned a lot about our world across various themes over the last several years. You’ve taken them back in time, you’ve thrown them into the future; you’ve allowed them to experience incredible and diverse worlds and realities along with our own. And now we’re bringing it all back​

It’s the Revival of the Themes​

party mode! So this year YOU set the theme! Both age divisions must choose ​
ONE​
previous SMASH! art theme (digital OR traditional) from the list below and add their party/celebratory twist on it. Past SMASH! Themes: ● Circus/Carnival ● Futuristic (Cyber) ● Summer Festival ● Steampunk ● Fairytale SMASH! ● Zombie Apocalypse ● SMASH! Mascot Battle Mode ● Crossover Hell! ● Mascot Music Madness Juniors (ages 15 and under) We want you to focus on Cyrus and Skadi party costumes and accessories. Want to do the steampunk theme all over again? Just put your party spin on how our mascots would look at a Steampunk party. Similarly, maybe for the SMASH! Battle Mode theme, you could equip our mascots with party poppers or piping bags to replace guns​

make cakes, not war!). ​
Whatever past theme you use, we want to see those rockin’ party costumes! Seniors (ages 16+) We want you to keep looking at the big picture but pay attention to those small details too. Show us at least one aspect of the party with Cyrus and Skadi that would be the highlight for you. Is the futuristic (cyber) party out of this world? Maybe there’s a big zombie birthday bash going on? Whether you depict our mascots and any extras engaged in party games or sampling the whole selection of party treats, whatever is your chosen past theme, show us an impressive party scene!
