What Makes An
Agency A Pleasure
To Work With?
Beer, Buildings and
Business
We would also like to thank all of our agents for their continued commitment
to work with RIC. We appreciate all of your support and have enjoyed
working with you over the years. A lot has changed at RIC in the last few
years, and we have high expectations for the future!
We are launching our first monthly newsletter this month. We hope to use
this newsletter as a way to keep you aware of what is happening with
Nevada Capital and what we have been successful in writing. We are very
pleased to be working with Jeff Gans, John Costa, Barbara Hartz, Jules
Wade and Lori Martin in Nevada Capital's Reno office.
We appreciate you thinking of RIC and are thankful for the business! We've
been working with Nevada Capital now in CA for almost two years. We've
been working in the surrounding states for a while longer than that. We
continue to do all that we can to improve our processes, service and the
ease of doing business that you have come to expect in the marketplace.
For some of you, we've been assisting with your State Fund Business. As
you know, many agents were terminated last year due to production
volumes less than $100,000 in premium. The launch of this program was a
challenge because of the large book that we assumed which involved
growing pains on our part. Also, the State Fund continues to work through
many concurrent changes and adjustments that are very significant for
them. Both of these issues have created some difficulty. We appreciate your
patience, and things are starting to improve. We expect over the next couple
of months, we will see significant strides in turnaround times and service
levels.
We invite you to give us a call at 1-888-693-7892 or visit our web-site at
www.ric-ins.com to see all of the other products that we are able to assist
you with. Don't hesitate to contact me at ext 2617 or on my cell phone at
714-519-4545 with questions, concerns or anything else you would like to
discuss. We look forward to doing more business with you in the second half
of 2013.
Sincerely,
Bay Area Hit List

E&S Is Not Your Cookie Cutter Insurance
RIC would like to introduce Megan Klarkowski, one of our E&S
underwriters. Megan has a Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration. She has seven years experience in the insurance
industry, she has a P&C license and a CISR designation.
A few words from Megan. As an E&S underwriter, I write General
Liability, Property, Inland Marine and Excess Liability with Burlington, Century
Surety, Markel/Essex, Nevada Capital, Penn Star, Scottsdale, Western
Heritage and Westcap. I like E&S underwriting as we are not doing cookie
cutter insurance. E&S allows us to look outside of the box and design a quote
specifically for the needs of the Insured.
What makes an agency a pleasure to work with?
At RIC, we feel it is the passion of our employees, the relationships that
materialize and the trust that grows over the years. This month we would
like to feature one of our longest tenured, dedicated and versed underwriting
managers.

Teresa has worked at RIC for 26 years. She started her career
with us in 1987. Teresa started as a file clerk and now she is a
commercial lines underwriting manager over the Tustin, Santa
Rosa and Reno offices. Teresa manages six commercial
Excess & Surplus lines underwriters and is IIA certified.
Teresa says it best, "My passion is "underwriting," the risk, the challenge,
the bind. Also the relationships I have with current agents and building new
agent relationships. I work with all E&S carriers and have built close
relationships throughout the years with the
carrier underwriters.

Beer, Buildings and Business
Throughout my travels from Nevada, Northern California and
Washington, the number one question that I'm asked is, "What
are you writing?" I'm writing Beer, Buildings, and Businesses...
Sounds pretty broad because it is. We've been writing bars and
taverns with up to 100% liquor. Vacant buildings are being
written every day! And businesses, you name it, we're quoting it!
