Elders and Good Works
From Last Week…
Titus 1:10-16 The Elders' Task
For there are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and
deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, whose
mouths must be stopped, … To the pure all things are pure,
but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is
pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. They
profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being
abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good
work.

Titus 2:1 Speak things fitting of sound doctrine
But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
Titus 2:2 To the Aged Men…
That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in
faith, in charity, in patience.
Titus 2:3-5 To the Aged Women & Young Women…
The aged women likewise, that [they be] in behavior as
becomes holiness, not false accusers, not given to much
wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the
young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love
their children, [To be] discreet, chaste, keepers at home,
good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of
God be not blasphemed.

Titus 2:6-8 To the Young Men…
Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. In all things
showing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine [showing]
incorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Sound speech, that cannot be
condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be
ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
Titus 2:9-10 To Servants… [Exhort] servants to be obedient
unto their own masters, [and] to please [them] well in all
[things]; not answering again; Not purloining, but showing all
good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our
Saviour in all things.
Titus 2:11-12 The Grace of God Has Appeared, Teaching…
For the grace of God that brings salvation hath appeared to all
men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts,
we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present
world;

Titus 2:13-14 The Grace of God Has Appeared, Cont’d,
Looking for that Blessed Hope as a peculiar people…
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing
of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave
himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity,
and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good
works.
Titus 2:15 Speak, and Let no Man Despise…
These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all
authority. Let no man despise thee.
