(No. 2) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2010
The Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 8 and 27 of the Wildlife Act,
1976 (No. 39 of 1976) as amended by section 7 of the Wildlife (Amendment)
Act, 2000 (No.38 of 2000) (as adapted by the Environment and Local Government (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister Order 2003 (S.I.
No. 233 of 2003)), hereby orders as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Wildlife Act 1976 (Temporary Suspension
of Open Season) (No.2) (Amendment) Order 2010.
2. Article 3 of the Wildlife Act 1976 (Temporary Suspension of Open Season)
(No.2) Order 2010 (S.I. No. 582 of 2010) is amended by the substitution of
“beginning on the 8th day of December 2010 and ending on the 21st day of
December 2010” for “beginning on the 8th day of December 2010 and ending
on the 14th day of December 2010”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal
interpretation.)
The effect of this Order is to suspend temporarily the hunting of wild birds as
listed in the Schedule of the Wildlife Act 1976 (Temporary Suspension of Open
Season) (No. 2) Order 2010 (S.I. No. 582 of 2010) for an additional 7 days, due
to the severity of weather conditions.
