They will discuss color theory and use the primary colors of red, blue, and yellow to mix the muted colors of winter, and paint on a variety of surfaces, including canvas, paper, and wood. They will also construct 3-D winter inspired sculptures. As time allows, you may make another project. Learn how to calculate ring and bezel sizes, as well as simple through more complicated soldering (brazing), sawing, filing, polishing and other processes as needed. A choice of metals will be available at cost.* Tools – including simple propane torches (not acetylene) will be available for use during class. An assortment of cabochons (priced from $2 - $20), will be available for purchase along with information about other sources. Students may bring their own metals, tools, and cabochons.
