Intelligent Transport Systems and Logistics
120 ECTS credits at Linköping University, Sweden
What is Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)
ITS integrate telecommunications and information technologies
with transport engineering with the aim to improve efficiency,
safety, quality and mobility of the transport systems for passengers
and freight while decreasing environmental impact.
The Master’s Programme in TSL
Degree
The Master´s programme in Intelligent
Transport Systems and Logistics (TSL) gives
students the engineering and managerial skills
required for the design, planning, analysis and
management of traffic and logistics systems.
Study areas include optimization and simulation
tools for transport planning, supply chain
management, mobile and wireless
telecommunications, and traffic safety
management. The last semester is dedicated to
the master’s degree project, often carried out in
close´cooperation with the industry.
Master of Science (two years) with a major in
Transportation Systems Engineering.
Career
The Intelligent Transport Systems and Logistics
master's programme is designed to prepare
students for careers within transportation
planning, logistics management, traffic
engineering, or product and service
development within the field. Students will
also be well prepared for a research career.
