Registering online? We can help! On September 1, 2012, the UHIP plan has been enhanced to replace the existing plastic coverage cards with a web and mobile version of the card. This enhancement will enable you to get a copy of your UHIP coverage card at your convenience and will always be available to you as long as you remain an eligible member under the UHIP plan. To use mysunlife.ca you’ll need to register to get an access ID and password. Go to mysunlife.ca and select Register now. Getting started • Read the information and instructions about the registration process • You will see two registration options Group Benefits and Group Retirement services plan •Select Register – benefits plan Step 1 – My information • Start by entering your • account/policy information • date of birth • current Canadian postal code • Next, enter the UHIP contract/policy number 050150 and your certificate/member ID • When asked to enter your certificate/member ID, you will need to enter your university’s 2-digit alpha prefix from the following table, followed by your assigned student or employee ID. The alpha prefix and your university assigned numeric ID represent your unique UHIP member ID. In this case, you would replace the associated university alpha prefix with ‘DP’ followed by the affiliated member or employee’s assigned numeric ID in which you are a covered dependent. Example: Member ID = MU999999999, Dependent ID = DP999999999 •Select Continue Registering online? We can help! Step 2 – Access ID & password • Select the method by which you would like to receive your password (by mail, or electronically if available) • It can be hard to remember a 12-14 digit number every time you sign in, so to make things easier you have the option to select your email address as your preferred ID •Select Submit Step 3 – Confirmation • Print a copy of your access ID •Select Print It’s that easy! More control for you You have the flexibility and control to update your account at any time. Simply sign into mysunlife.ca and go to your Profile page. From there, you can add, change and even delete your email access ID, and update your information. Managing your access has never been easier! Free mobile app For fast and easy access wherever you go, either download the mobile app for your Blackberry or iPhone or go to m.mysunlife.ca on you web enabled smartphone. The app will allow you to view claims from your phone and view/carry your coverage card. Questions?
