What you need:
FIMO soft - raspberry, peppermint, apple
green, lemon. Paper, pencil, ruler, scissors, roller,
craft knife, pen tops, baking tray, glue, various
sized gemstones, card, hair clip with flat top.

STEP 1
Fold some paper in half and draw half a
butterfly shape 5cm high x 4cm wide. Cut
around the outline and open out for a
symmetrical template. Knead four portions of
raspberry FIMO to soften and roll 3mm deep.
Place the template over the FIMO and cut
around the outline. Smooth the FIMO edges
with your fingertip.
STEP 2
Roll thin strands of apple green FIMO. Gently
press the strands around the outside edge
of your butterfly, cut off any overhanging
FIMO and neaten the join. Roll a peppermint
FIMO body and press into the middle of your
butterfly, marking lines with a craft knife.
Cut small circles of green and lemon using
pen tops and press onto the wings.

STEP 3
Place your butterfly onto a baking tray. Ovenbake for 30 minutes at 110°C/230°F. Allow
to cool. Glue gemstones into place, not
forgetting the eyes. Cut antennae from card
and glue behind the head. Glue your finished
butterfly onto a hair clip and enjoy being a
party princess!

What you need:
FIMO soft - brown, yellow, black, orange,
white, red. Plus blue and green for books or try
mixing colours together. Roller, ruler, craft knife, cocktail
stick, baking tray, glue, card, paint and brush.

STEP 1
Knead two portions of brown FIMO to soften
and roll 4mm deep. Cut a 3cm circle and squash
into an egg shape for the owl’s body. Flatten
2 small balls of yellow for eyes and press into
place. Mark with lines and add tiny black balls in
the middle. Roll some orange FIMO 2mm deep
and cut feet, a beak and a triangle for above the
eyes. Press into place.
STEP 2
Roll some black FIMO 3mm deep. Cut a diamond
shape 2.5cm across and angle on top of a strip of
black 1.5cm x 0.5mm. Make a hole in the middle
of the mortar board and fill with a thin strand of
black FIMO for the tassel. Carefully press onto
your owl’s head. Cut small black triangles for the
wings and press into place.
STEP 3

Roll some white FIMO 1mm deep. Cut a 2cm
square, roll into a scroll and wrap a thin red
ribbon strip around the middle, then tuck under
your owl’s wing. Decorate different colour
strips for books underneath your owl. Place
onto a baking tray. Oven-bake for 30 minutes
at 110°C/230°F and allow to cool. Glue your
finished owl onto a folded card, decorate its
chest with feathers and deliver to someone wise!
