He obtained his Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the ACCA and his MA in Strategic Financial Management from Kingston University Business School. He has had a varied business career of which the last twenty two years has been spent as Managing Director then Chairman of SFS Group, an insurance broker specialising in independent schools. He trains Heads and Deputy Heads in matters financial, and Senior Management Teams in Crisis Management. He has been a Governor of one maintained and two independent schools and manages one charitable trust and is Treasurer of another.
