The film not only covers the 10week campaign to register African Americans to vote, setup schools, and community centers, but also the associated violence that includes the murder of three volunteers. The Freedom Summer Campaign shone a light on what some called a “closed society”. Speker/Discussion following film. Free Admission (donations appreciated).
