Variant Tactics Tables for playing the American Revolution Series Solitaire by Joel Toppen Reprinted from C3i #22 For each combat situation, follow the flowchart to the right step-by-step to determine which Tactics Table to use. The Tactics Tables, printed on the other side will require the use of a 6-sided die (D6), an 8-sided die (D8), and a 10-sided die (D10). The Battles of the American Revolution series games include a D10, so players will need to provide their own D6 and D8 dice. Engage without a Leader? • Withdraw plausible? use Table 1 • Withdraw not plausible? use Table 2 Some of the tests will require the player to make a “judgement call.” Do what you would do if you were the player using those units in a two player game. Example: would you consider using a Withdraw chit? If so then choose “Withdraw plausible.” Once a Tactics Table has been selected, roll the appropriate dice and consult the Table to determine what tactic that side will use.
