THE GATEWAY ARCH TICKET REQUIRED
As the nation’s tallest monument, the Gateway Arch has welcomed
visitors for more than 50 years with its iconic, awe-inspiring shape.
The vision of renowned architect Eero Saarinen, the Arch celebrates
Thomas Jefferson and St. Louis’ role in the westward expansion of the
United States. If you’ve never seen the grandeur of this architectural
wonder or the breathtaking views of St. Louis 630 feet in the air – now
is your chance.
During construction, all visitors are required
to have a timed ticket to enter the Gateway Arch.
The Ticketing and Visitor Center is located at the Old
Courthouse, 11 North 4th Street, St. Louis, MO 63102.
OLD COURTHOUSE FREE
Explore this historic treasure where Dred
and Harriet Scott sued for their freedom
and Virginia Minor fought for women's right
to vote. While the Museum of Westward
Expansion is closed to allow for construction
of new museum exhibits, the Old Courthouse
features three exhibit galleries with artifacts
from the former museum. These FREE
exhibits tell the story of Lewis and Clark,
Native Americans, the fur trade and life in
colonial St. Louis.
