President’s Role
Purpose of the Role:
Set the leadership tone for the club, this includes sharing a vision for the club and providing
helpful and supportive leadership at all times.
Accountability:
Chair monthly Committee meetings (currently over Skype)
Open and close meetings (including club business and awards)
Recent Achievements:
The club joined Weymouth & Portland Chamber of Commerce this year and had a guest
speaking slot in February. We will be hosting the Area Contest in March

A great opportunity to develop and test out your leadership skills.
I am eligible to join the WPCC Executive which will raise both my own profile and that of the
club’s in the local community.
Skills, behaviours and level of commitment:
The President must have a real enthusiasm for the personal development of self and others,
and a desire to see the club grow. The President should be able to attend most meetings and
be willing to participate fully in both club and area committee meetings this includes Club
Officer training twice during the year.
Potential Changes:
Extend the number of people on the committee or supporting committee roles.
Commitment to new role holder
The President remains on the committee as Immediate Past President so will be available to
coach and mentor as required.
