Let ev'ry instrument be tuned for praise;
let all rejoice who have a voice to raise;
and may God give us faith to sing always:
Alleluia!

God creates music as part of the whole creation and gives it to
humankind to develop and shape. It is therefore very fitting that
music has such an important and delightful place in the worship
of God, and in the life of the church. A quality music program has
been a hallmark of Trinity Lutheran Church’s varied ministries in
an urban context. Centered around the integral role that music
plays in Christian worship, Trinity’s Cantor, choirs, and other
musicians offer musical leadership at worship throughout the
year.
Extending beyond Trinity’s worship life, Music at Trinity offers
several concerts and performances throughout the year. Unless
otherwise noted, Music at Trinity events are free to the public.
Many concerts are followed by a reception to greet the artists. This
programming is supported by generous giving, to the glory of
God, by members of Trinity Lutheran Church as well as friends
who support the arts. Please consider making a contribution to
this music ministry. Visit Trinity’s website www.trinityworc.org
or contact the church office to give or for more information. In
thanksgiving to God for this music ministry and in order to serve
those in need, ten percent of all contributions to Music at Trinity
concerts and events are passed on to a chosen mission each year.
For the 2015-16 season, this ten percent will be given to the Interfaith
Hospitality Network of Greater Worcester, an organization that unites
the religious community in an effort to serve and nurture homeless
families.
Weekly worship at Trinity
All Are Welcome
Sunday 8 a.m. - Holy Eucharist in Christ Chapel
The early morning gathering each Sunday typically includes less
singing and a condensed liturgy. In the summer months Christ
Chapel is air conditioned.
Sunday 10 a.m. - Holy Eucharist in the Trinity Nave
Our principal gathering each week includes festive music
originating from various times and places often led by the choirs
of Trinity, the Noack Organ and other instruments. At appointed
times throughout the year this liturgy includes the rites of Holy
Baptism, Affirmation of Baptism, as well as other celebrations of
the life of the church. Following worship we gather for coffee and
fellowship.
Wednesday 6 p.m. - Mid-week Worship
At mid-week we gather in the Nave for worship, lasting about 30
minutes with singing, readings and a brief homily. This relaxed
liturgy takes on different forms in different seasons. Candles and
incense often adorn the worship space. Often during the school
year the Trinity Choristers help lead the assembly in vibrant
song. Summer allows for more times of quiet reflection. A time of
continued fellowship is included most Wednesdays. From midSeptember to late May following worship we gather in
Fellowship Hall for a cooked supper.

From the beginning of the world music has been
instilled and implanted in all creatures, individually
and collectively. For nothing is without sound and
harmony….Let this noble, wholesome, and cheerful
creation of God be commended to you…. At the same
time you may by this creation accustom yourself to
recognize and praise the Creator.
