About Clothes The Deal
Clothes The Deal (CTD) is a 501 (c) (3)
nonprofit organization founded in 1995.
CTD currently operates two programs;
“Business Clothing Program” and “Dress
to Impress Workshops.”
CTD of clothing and has clothed over
52,000 job ready men, women and atrisk youth. With the help of CTD, these
clients have been able to dress
appropriately and have the additional
training to ensure they have the same
chance during a job interview as anyone
else. With your help and the help of the
community, CTD will continue to expand.
CTD and donors alike are proud in
knowing that their clothing and
donations help boost someone's selfesteem and confidence when they walk
into an interview.
Mission
To assist men, women, and at-risk youth in transition,
empowering them to interview with confidence, gain
employment and achieve economic self-sufficiency.
Vision
Positively impact Los Angeles by assisting low-income
individuals attain economic independence and selfsufficiency.

A Message from the President
Hello Friends and Supporters of Clothes The Deal,
I am pleased to announce another great year for Clothes The Deal! I am
constantly amazed by the support and community outreach Los Angeles
brings every year. This year, we have been fortunate to add some great
corporate sponsors to our list of many supporters:
Fox Studios, Coca- Cola, Northrop, Schlesinger Associates and Kaiser
Permanente.
With the help of the Consumer Attorney’s Association of Los Angeles, Clothes
The Deal was able to add two new drop-off locations:
Esner, Chang and Ellis Law Office in Glendale and Rice and Bloomfield, LLP,
in Woodland Hills.
As the demand for our clothing from our partnering agencies has continued to
increase, there has been a corresponding need to expand our donors and
clothing inventory.
Clothes The Deal plans to clothe and train an additional 2,000 individuals by
the end of 2009. We have extended our services to the Department of Mental
Health, Department of Rehabilitation, Department of Public and Social
Services and continue to service our welfare-to-work programs, Veterans and
at-risk youth. We know that our services are going to be needed more than
ever this coming year with the economic crisis our country is facing. Our
services can help get people off of unemployment and back to work.

Business Clothing Program
In 2008, Clothes The Deal distributed 15,000 pieces
of clothing through the Business Clothing Program.
CTD responds to the critical needs of job service
agencies and their participants. Through corporate
clothing drives, a network of drop-off locations and
donations directly from manufacturers and retailers,
CTD is able to collect readyto-wear items. The high
quality, new and gentlyused men's and women's
professional attire and
accessories are a perfect
benefit for those who cannot afford appropriate
clothing. CTD provides job seekers a professional
image and a sense of support that comes from
being part of a larger network of sponsors.

Dress To Impress Workshops
Clothes The Deal facilitated 20 workshops in the year 2008 by the Dress To Impress
Workshop team. These workshops are designed to help educate and enhance the
participant’s self-esteem and professional image for employment. The workshops focus
on five main areas of developing a professional image: self-esteem/confidence,
business etiquette, wardrobe, accessories and hair/make-up. The target population
for these workshops is low-income men, women and at-risk youth entering or
reentering the workforce who need professional attire and training.
