Possessive Nouns Let’s review. . . A noun is a person, place, thing, or idea. • Singular means only one-a singular noun means only one of something. • To show ownership, or possession, of a singular noun, we add an apostrophe (‘) and the letter s (‘s). A plural noun means more than one of something. To show ownership, or possession, of a plural noun we do 2 things. . . 1. First change the singular noun into a plural noun. 2. Then add the apostrophe. Now, let’s practice. . .
