THE IMPORTANCE OF MY JOB
As a member of the NAVIGATION (NAV) team, you are responsible for navigating the
Spacecraft. Your first job is to make sure that the Earth-based tracking stations are
on-line so that you can successfully leave Earth orbit and travel to the Moon. After
traveling to the Moon, you will then locate and identify two possible landing sites.
While you are busy navigating the spacecraft, your NAV MC teammates will run
several simulations to determine the correct engine firings for leaving Earth orbit,
traveling to the Moon, entering lunar orbit, and landing on the Moon safely. They will
provide you with important data throughout the mission from these simulations.

with the map coordinates of the fourth tracking station.
Follow these directions for CHECKING TRACKING STATIONS:
1. Click the
button located in the bottom left corner.
2. Send the following message to your NAV MC teammate.
